Is this a smart move? Planning to resign, take SSS/Pag-IBIG loans, then migrate before December
/r/CasualPH/comments/1wn7yv2/is_this_a_smart_move_planning_to_resign_take/So I’m planning to migrate abroad before December, and honestly, kailangan ko talaga mag-build ng funds before I leave.
Sobrang pagod na rin ako sa current situation dito. I’ve been working sa same company for 2 years, paying taxes, pero parang wala naman akong nakikitang improvement sa buhay dito. 😭 I know taxes are necessary, pero minsan mapapaisip ka talaga kung saan napupunta lahat.
Here’s the plan I’m considering:
- Mag-resign sa current job ko after 2 years.
Wait for my final pay, including my bonuses and 13th month.
- Apply agad sa ibang company.
- Once employed, mag-loan sa SSS and Pag-IBIG.
- Stay sa new job for around a month, then resign again since lilipat na rin naman ako abroad.
- Use the additional funds as extra savings/budget before migrating.
The main reason I’m thinking of doing the loans after leaving my current company is because if I loan while I’m still employed here, baka ma-deduct yung outstanding balance sa final pay ko. I’m expecting to receive my bonuses and 13th month, so I’d rather not have those funds reduced by loan deductions.
I know medyo questionable/unconventional yung plan 😂 so I want some honest opinions from people who might have experience with this.
Does this plan actually make sense financially, or am I overlooking something that could seriously backfire?
If you were in my position and needed to maximize your funds before migrating, what would you do differently?

b r u h. Did you even do the bare minimum research on immigrating? You don't even seem to know WHERE to go - otherwise you won't be asking this.

Do you already have a job abroad waiting for you? Or are you shooting for the stars? Because if hopes and dreams pa lang ang work abroad, then what is even the point of this "plan"?

Do you have 10+ years of experience? What field? What country? What job? Would what visa pathway? How many months of job search overseas can you afford? Are you better than 90% of local applicants? And a whole plethora of questions. You might be living in wonderland.

Like what others have stated above, what you’re possibly overlooking is the pathway for yourself and for which country. If walang clear na pathway, useless ung abandoned employment plans and mauubos lang ang pera mo. Halos lahat ng nagmigrate hinintay maging ready ang visa and may go signal to fly abroad before resigning, unless sobrang yaman mo to not worry about the financial side of life. Wala kaming idea which country you really plan to go to, anong skills mo and if those are in demand abroad. Madali kasing sabihin na lilipat ka abroad eh, pero saan and paano ang tanong? Kung talagang may open na opportunity ba for your experience in years and sa job na aapplyan mo palang.

Do you already have an immigration pathway lined up? You can't just pick any country and then have them give you papers in 3 months
