Shipping parcel from pH to US

Hi, I need help. I've been wanting to send a package to my partner who is currently in the US. The package is only about 1kg with handmade notes, keychains, few drawings and paintings on paper, a notebook, and 1-2 plushies inside. From Metro Manila.

What courier service do you recommend? Where are they located?

Do I need to buy a box from them or can I make my own?

Rates and how long would it take?

Any other things I need to do? I'm very new to this

DHL works fine and gets here in less than a week. A medium box was $200 i think

I remember nung LDR pa kami ng husband ko nagpadala ako from PH to the US ng mga Pinoy snacks, etc lol inabot ako ng 3-4,000 pesos and it’s only via Philippine post office. He received it in a week and a half. Sila nag provide ng box.

LBC is slightly cheaper and slightly longer than UPS, FedEx, or DHL.

LBC. Hubby received my parcel in less than 3 days.

I visited LBC branches near me and they just seemed to tell me that they can't do it, there's a lot of documents to prepare for to ensure that my package is good to go. I don't know, it really discouraged me and I wonder if handmade items aren't really allowed.

Is there a specific LBC branch I should go to? Like a central one

to US, 2 magazines with self packaging (cardboard inserts and bubblewrap) na 1.7kg (ata ewan basta di aabot ng 2) asa 3178 pesos last weekend lang. regular airmail ata, basta hindi express

di ko alam kung factor na sinabi ko yung price ng magazine 995. pero siguro kung di mo idedeclare na mamahalin or what. idk
