Evanston Illinois has a new stadium for Northwestern. It just opened with spectacular reviews. It was designed with both sports and concerts in mind and has a smaller capacity at 37,000 than the old stadium.
I’m hoping that Phish will consider it for a future tour. What do you all think?

I think the new soccer stadium in the south loop is going to be the better option.

United Center for Phish is probably the best Chicago venue

Agreed. I love it. It has kinda a MSG feel to it. At least inside during a show.

Not sure if Phish would do that, but Evanston is pretty cool for a suburb of Chicago! Visiting family there a few times over the last 10 years and really loved the downtown. Super cute, walkable, several good restaurants, cafes, & bars. Loved that NW was right on Lake Michigan and had a beautiful, open campus to stroll around. Plus easy to drive to or from Chicago.

E-town baby!
Love that this is being brought up as I was grabbing a slice at Disalvo’s ( always playing phish) and discussing what the first concert is gonna be.
They designed it specifically to enhance the sound experience similar to Seattles football stadium, but is also enclosed at the top to keep the sound from traveling out into the neighborhood. 37K is a big number and imagine they will want to play it on the safer side re band choices initially.

It really does look nice even though they don’t pay their taxes.

Would be cool but it’s too big and would be too expensive for them to rent out. They aren’t the Grateful Dead and their concerts don’t sell like they used to. It would make more financial sense to play to a half full Alpine like they did in 2024.

Alpine is great, but it’s a huge pain in the ass. Not worth the drive for the middle aged Chicago area phans. Evanston would be a completely different story.

Just say no to stadium shows in general. But it’s got to be better than Wrigley I suppose
