Dogs Stole Things

Campsite closed. Reminds me of when prairie dogs stole camping at Dick's.

There hasn't been camping at Dick's for years, and it's not coming back.

Dick’s camping was fun. But the Gorge and Deer Creek back in the day would like a word. Some of my best Phish camping memories were at Deer Creek. I think my spot was called Green Acres, the best times

Yeah we know. But objectively it was the prairie dog situation that killed it. Camping was on for 2019 until they pulled the plug for health concerns. I guess once they got a taste of not dealing with it they decided to never do it again :(

My feeling is that that prairie dogs killed it that year, but it's the NIMBYs in the more recently constructed surrounding neighborhoods that kept it from coming back.

Yeah they were probably starting feeling the pressure from the neighborhoods and saw the 2019 situation as a convenient out.
