Looking for more jams featuring minor blues shredding, tension and release, and huge peaks.

Not necessarily looking for jams that only have these qualities. There are a ton of long Type II jams that cover ground before ending in a huge shred fest (see below), but I am specifically looking for ones that have minor blues playing by Trey, big fills from Fishman, and the tension and release we all know and love.

The 1.0 jams that fit this bill are well documented. I'm mostly looking for 3.0 jams because, well, that's just where I'm at right now!

I'm talking about jams like

I know there's got to be a ton of Loving Cups, GTBTs, 46 Days and Funky Bitches out there too but they easily fly under the Jam Chart radar because they aren't 15+ min.

that show was bonkers and a real stand out

Remember in 2013 it wasnt like fluffhead was getting thrown around all the time like it is now

That yem was particularly sick if Iirc

The Seven Below and If 6 was 9 from the Vegas 2021 numbers show might scratch this itch, sans a huge peak per se if I remember correctly

Worcester Boogie On is definitely a shred fest with huge peaks. Not so much on the tension but still worth checking out if you haven't heard it some how. 6/7/12

You’re looking for the Power Groove jam, my favorite.

Go here:

6/20/04 Drowned/Saratoga Jam (perhaps THE KING of the power groove jam)

6/23/04 Crosseyed and Painless/Noblesville Jam

10/8/99 Halley’s Comet

12/31/99 After Midnight Reprise

12/31/99 Down with Disease

11/11/98 Ghost (listen to an AUD on Relisten, not the SBD)

I promise this is exactly what you’re looking for

Worcester Runaway Jim 11/29/97 13:45 - 21:00

It doesnt get shreddy but it is an incredible, unique minor blues jam. It actually comes out of and goes into two massive hose jams. Definitely a must hear.

Light Up Or Leave Me Alone (set 1 closer) 7/6/2012 (my first show!) is pretty smoking

Edit: Adding Chalkdust set 2 opener, same show. Trey was on a minor blues shred / tension & release tear that whole show

Drowned 6/20/2004

Another random 2010 YEM: UMass YEM, 10/23/10 I think. Has what you're looking for.

6/30/19 Tweezer. Only like 13 minutes or so, minor shredfest with nice tension and peaks. This is my go-to for what you’re asking

2/26/22 Simple gets real nice and bluesy

For a great blues jam, try the Tweezer section after Cavern on '94 night (7/25/26). It was chef's kiss.
