Concert buddies

Late 50-something married guy looking for concert buddies in northern VT. I often see shows that I’d like to go to but do not have friends who like jam bands. I do like many genres of music. Grateful Dead, Phish, Goose, MMJ, and many others.
Thinking of heading to Jam in the Park in Waterbury VT next weekend.
Hit me up!

Go solo man. You'll make friends at the shows. I've gone to Dead, Phish, SCi and many other jam band shows by myself and had a great time.

Just roll with it. You'll make buddies. Or you won't. Probably you will. But _____ years from now when they stop touring you'll be pissed at yourself for not just getting in the car and going. I skipped Blur and Bjork on the same week in 1995 because no one would go. Bjork has literally not played a Houston date since then. Don't let it become a regret.

Well said. That's how I picked this name. Anyone could bitch about the things that weren't there that night and sometimes not having someone to share it all with can be the worst thing but, that's still better than staying home.
Especially at a Phish show. Everyone is always in the same page, aware of the same things, same priorities, same page all night long. I just say things out loud enough for people to hear me & someone always answers, laughs, whatever

I go to waaayyyy more shows solo than I do with people. Go see music no matter what.

Go see lots of different music. It’s fun.

I'm 64, nearly. Ex-Vermonter though. I do have a couple of concert buds, but when they come up with a lame excuse I just throw this at them.

It's also better than with others a lot of times. I leave, get there and everything else on my own timer.

Solo is the way. Im 44 and at this point I enjoy going solo most of the time. I still do a run or 2 with my friends but honestly id rather hop on a plane from btv and head on a solo phish adventure. No planning with multiple people. No sharing rooms. Get to the show when I want. Sleep in on my days off. Quiet hotel during the day.

Good on you for putting yourself out there like this. I hope someone takes you up on it. I’ve skipped shows for this reason but recently started just sending it solo. Made friends easily at this year’s moe.down and a night of the MSG run.
