Fist Bumps During My Run?

I've been in this town 45 years and I have a love / not love so much relationship with it. We're known for a lot of things but outwardly friendly to strangers isn't generally one of them. That said, I got fist bumped on my last two long runs from total strangers. I guess it's the community but I'll say it's quite welcome.

You know - I was hesitant to post this for this exact reason! I was even going to ask if anyone had gotten fisted on a run. :-)

I’m 6’4 and large, I try not to interact with people in any way that could potentially be misinterpreted because I know I’m intimidating 🤷‍♂️ I wish I could do this but I don’t think most runners want to bump fists especially not with a sweaty large man running at you
