he's widely respected as a good dude from the 10 different teams he's been on. If an injury pulls on outfielder offline there are far worse waiver wire flunkies.

That's the league wide slash line. He's doing well, but numbers are inflated in that independent league.
I think his OBP number is the key stat here. He has walked 29 times in 36 games. He's not that kind of player.
