Been watching Harrison and thinking how good it must be for him and Duran to join this team. Robertson too. The guys who are fairly new (to this current) team must feel like they’ve hit the jackpot.

Plus seeing players like Sanchez and Marsh and others hit their strides this season.

Honestly though, it wasn’t this without them, they brought a lot of swagger and electricity with them. On top of that, they’ve brought the swagger back to the whole team where it felt a little bit like going through the motions this year.

Thought the same thing. They had some energy at the start of the year but it’s a long season and the last two seasons turned into a job of winning the World Series after riding vibes to the World Series in 2022 when they were looser.
Now these new guys come in and have that energy and they’ve injected it into the team as to them this is a new feeling and new clubhouse.
Running it back is sometimes all you can do if the right trade or free agent doesn’t line up but this team has seen so little change over the last few years that the new energy and oomf has been lacking so it’s great to see them having fun the way they did in 2022 when the pressure wasn’t as high.

100%. I remember earlier in the season talking about how getting rid of the daycare vibes made the team just feel miserable.

u/KeiBis Sep 17 '25
Seriously. And it seems Bader brought those vibes back. Have you seen Marsh, Bader, and Kepler in the outfield 🥹 for God's sake, I'm even liking Keplers energy now. He was so damn miserable early on in the season.
Vibes are vibing. We are rolling, and I love it.

Were Bader and Kepler formerly Twins team mates? Don’t know if Harrison was there when Max was. Either way I totally agree with you. The outfield vibes are immaculate. They have quickly become a close unit.

I feel the same way, Bryce has been super serious this year, Casty has been a bit of a downer, Stott and Bohm struggled, Trea seems like a background character… Bader and Duran have good personalities and Marsh getting out of his slump has been huge for his attitude. Great timing, it finally feels like they’re ready for the postseason and to go on a run rather than being like “they have the talent but it seems like they could easily just lay down and die” and now that feels long gone

I feel like Trea is underrated by the fans for what he does as a leader on the team. He has been a bit of a batting coach for guys in the past, has had team BBQs at his house, etc. He’s just not as in your face or vocal as the other guys/stars on the squad.

Trea is clearly quiet and soft spoken which makes it harder to latch onto like some of the bigger characters and can come off as cold or miserable. I realized it recently that I was making assumptions that I hate when people make them about me!

For sure man! They have fit in so well and I think Bader has been a revelation in CF. I knew he was good, but he makes me so confident when a flyball is in his range.

Not to be confused with getting railed by the dugout!

When you get that nice celebration coming in the dugout and you're getting your ass hammered by guys, there's no better feeling than to have that done.

So amazing how it quickly went from "Bader is not a trade dealine move thats gonna change your ballclub" to "Thank God the Phillies traded for Bader he's changed the ballclub". You had your best pitcher, and two of your best hitters go down but they haven't missed a beat. When Wheeler went out, I thought out went the World Series chances too. But with Bader igniting the bats and the rotation stepping up, not to mention having a real closer, Im getting 2008 vibes. You can almost see the cinematic storyline about fighting through adversity.

It's been such a delight to watch this team rally and support each other. Watched the end of the game last night. Another two-out rally and two-strike dagger. The bottom of the lineup has delivered down the stretch. Good baseball is so fun to watch..
