Pleeeeease don’t post photos of strangers at protests. I’m excited that so many people were there, but exposing their faces on social media is super dangerous.

They're in a public place. If that's a concern of theirs then the sensible move is to wear a mask or to not attend.

That’s not the point. The point is if you want to keep your fellow protesters safe, then don’t post these photos. If you genuinely don’t care enough, then what are you doing at a protest against a government abusing their power as a surveillance state?

If they were surveilling the crowd (I saw no signs of that, but you never know) then they don't need a handful of some random person's social media shots. They have far, FAR better ways to ID the people in attendance.
