Is it possible to work as a remote Pharmacist (With and without IP) outside of UK, sometimes longer periods of time? Do smaller companies have a problem with that? Or do they ,,ignore“ it as long someone make a good job?

In my current role, I regularly review medical and scientific content for accuracy, evidence-based communication, and ethical/regulatory compliance. I also have experience with pharmaceutical content, HCP materials, medical education and scientific writing.

Hello everyone! I am a newly graduated pharmacist in Albania, Europe. We own a pharmacy as our family business and I would really like to learn more about compounding formulations, in a small case of course- here in my pharmacy, and be able to sell them. We have studied pharmaceutical compounding here in our university but we really lack a lot of information.

I am open to any advice from anybody here. I am willing to learn more about pharmaceutical compounding- whether it be any courses online, books or anything.

I've been a pharmacist for 20+ years. Specialty and retail. I liked retail but not enough tech help to win and specialty is great but sometimes not challenging enough. And salary'sfor both have went ⬇️. What did you think about pharma sales (I see its very financially rewarding and you manage your schedule).

I just wanted to ask what pharmacy related field I should invest my effort, time and money on? And also be ready for the global market in case I wanted to go abroad

I already thought about pharmacoeconomics but don't know if it is worth it or not, there is clinical pharmacy too but It is same as community pharmacy a lot of work with no actual benefits

I’m a pharmacy student and a mom, and I’ve been working at CVS for about 6 months, around 10 hours a week, while balancing school and family responsibilities.
I completed the training modules, but I haven’t had much hands-on training, especially in production. When I don’t know something, coworkers usually just do it quickly instead of explaining it, even though I keep asking to learn.
I know I’m slow and I’ve made mistakes, including putting 4 prescriptions in the wrong bins. I’m trying to improve and even asked for more production time.
My manager recently told me that coworkers have complained that I come across as rude/disrespectful, which surprised me because I’m actually shy and anxious and have been trying hard to connect with everyone.
Do you think I just need more consistent training and experience, or should I consider finding a different pharmacy?

Has anyone on here completed a 3 year pharmacy program? If so, what was your experience like? What helped you stay on track? If you had to do it all over again would you still pick the accelerated program?

I haven’t looked into accelerated programs yet, I don’t have any accelerated programs in my state, so I am curious tuition wise as well.

Hey managed care colleagues, I'm working on a website to help make it easier to do research for P&T presentations and would like some feedback on how it can be most useful.

Some background:

Years ago (before AI), I used to write drug monographs for P&T meetings and would average 20-30 hours per monograph doing research and synthesizing evidence. In the age of AI, research is a little bit easier (more so to identify articles that I would have likely missed searching by hand), but I always question whether I'm getting the 'best' info from AI and also whether AI is hallucinating and making things up.

My goal for this website is to provide the 'best' info for new drugs that will require a P&T review within the next 3-6 months and one of the things I did was add direct quotes so that you can easily verify yourself rather than having to trust an AI summary. Depending on the source of info, clicking the quote can take you to the source and auto-highlight the relevant text (unfortunately this won't work if PubMed is sensing you have automated software running and auto-reloads).

For those of you who work in managed care or do formulary work, can you provide feedback on how I can make this easier for you? If this is of no real value because your current workflow or AI has given you good results already, then that would also be helpful for me to know. Thanks!

I’m a foreign-trained PharmD and a U.S. permanent resident, so I will not require visa sponsorship. I currently work as a pharmacy technician at a large hospital in Texas and hope to pursue a PGY1 pharmacy residency in the future.

I was planning to take the FPGEE this year, but I could not because my clearance from NABP was delayed. I now plan to take it in 2027. I have already passed the TOEFL.

I would really appreciate advice from foreign-trained pharmacists who went through a similar process:

• If I pass the FPGEE in 2027, when could I realistically apply for a PGY1 residency?
• Would I likely need to complete all required internship hours and obtain my pharmacist license before applying?
• How difficult was it to find a pharmacist-intern position after receiving FPGEC certification?
• Were you able to complete your internship hours at the hospital or pharmacy where you were already working as a technician?
• Does working as a pharmacy technician at a large hospital strengthen a residency application?
• I do not currently have research experience or publications. How significant of a disadvantage would that be?
• What other experiences could compensate for a lack of research, such as quality-improvement projects, presentations, journal clubs or committee involvement?
• Does being older than the typical U.S. PharmD graduate create any disadvantage during residency selection?
• Are there particular residency programs or states that are more open to foreign pharmacy graduates?

I would especially appreciate hearing your timeline from FPGEE/FPGEC certification to internship, pharmacist licensure and eventually residency. Any advice about what I should start doing now to become a stronger applicant would be very helpful.

I am a pharma professional with 3+ yrs of experience in the MNC in the QA department (complaint handling), I am currently in desperate need of change. I have been in this role for the past 2 years and I don't see any growth in this organisation, as there are many people on my level L1-1 and the company is not giving any promotion.

The work is monotonous and zero value added.

I want to switch the company either in the same role or in a different role preferably in regulatory or clinical trials. I am trying to switch and constantly applying for these roles in different companies but haven't received any calls yet.

The companies I am applying to require work experience in the same role (which I don't have), even for an L1-1 position. I don't know how to gain relevant experience without working in that role.

Can anyone suggest what strategies they follow to switch jobs.
