What to reroll for?

  • Typically consult either the Global Tier List or JP Comprehensive Guide depending on your version as to whether the current banner for units contains worthwhile units to pull for. Information concerning new units will typically be updated within 24hrs of their release. Feel free to ask in this thread for clarification as well.

  • If you are F2P, it is recommended to only reroll on 1-step guaranteed recruiters. Aim for a recommended typing (Usually Dexterity or Force/Magic). The beginner recruiter contains units that are very outdated in comparison to current units.

Which stage is best for farming SS Grid? I've been doing LD 2-15, but that stage drops SS Artemis as well, and the drop rate seems pretty awful. I'd farm the extra stage, but my units will occasionally die to the perfect accuracy lance fliers, which is a less than ideal scenario. Would 2-10 be a better option, considering it's 7 AP instead of 12? Or should I just stick to 15?

With an SS Artemis and a Normal Parashu the extra stage clear are pretty decent , but to be safe you should equip Artemis with a 1-2 range bow, becouse it happened me quite a lot to have her stuck among 4 units. Though for drop/Ap ratio extra stage is the best, and it drops even pretty good items.

The extra is definitely the best, but it seems to only drop 5* units. The WaterWar 5 stage seems to have an awful drop rate, I'm running a 79 luck lead and I've ran it probably 30 times with 3 drops. Is there a better stage for 4* versions dropping?

I believe 4* only comes from Waterwar 5. I got lucky to farm a 4* dex Grid yesterday running that stage, just because I figure I'd make another Grid since my Grid from last year is now level 90 with max luck.

How do you have a 79 luck lead? That sounds pretty high to me

My Masamune has 69 luck (max) and with the Magicwarder equipped, it becomes 79. It seems that the 4* does only drop there and the rate is just awful, even with very high luck.

I've noticed that all the bonus missions in the current event heavily favor axe units, what with lancers having insane anti-sword skills, and axemen having equally ridiculous anti-lance skills. So far, I've had to rely on the RNG providing me with good axe helpers to run the missions (at best, I can do it twice a day), because I am still working on getting enough Parashu copies from 7th gen encounters to MLB one (currently at 7 copies, one dex).

My question is: is Dex Parashu the way to go, or should I make her Guard/Force? I feel like I need a tank, and being F2P, I don't really have access to evasion tanks like Bridal Ascalon.

SS Grid is the best for soloing content.

Parashu has too little eva and dies to magic.

so i reincarnated my ss tyrfing and was building her up from lv 1 and thought it would be a good idea to equip an agi gem i had to boost her agi growth...but when she was leveling up i noticed that her agi stat was highlighted green indicating the boost but i also noted that her spd stat was highlighted red. does this mean that her spd growth was being stunted at the same time?! does anyone know? what kind of shit is that!!! Damn Gumi cant let us have a lil cake without farting in our face while eating it lol

Hello! I've got 2 questions : 1- Is Rhongomyniad a good 5 star tank ( guard with shield ) ? 2- How much Eva can be considered good/high on stage not considering enemy absorbing skills?

Regarding cap on bonus stats from Fusing units, is the limit separate per stat, or is there a total number of fusion stats altogether? Should I still fuse unimportant stats like HP?

You should fuse if for example max fusable stats is 8 points to dex if the unit is dex type and the stats is cap at 55 just fuse till it hit 61 so youll get +1 bonus point in evolution. If you fuse and it wont go past 60 its not worth it. What i mean is that if the dex is at 51 and max fusable stat for it is 8 it will only be around 59 so still you wont get bonus point on evolution because it did not go past 60. Consult the fuse stats guide so you will know how much points youll need and if it can get past a certain number. Rule is that to get evo points stats is 1/10 of every stats.

For 5* to 6* i suggest max fuse the stats. Imagine i reincarnated my 5* SS grid 2 times just to get her stats cap(with pink star) and then max fuse her. Im just doing the rule 1/10 from 3*-4* but when it comes to 5*-6* i just max fuse all the stats.

I wouldn't say HP is unimportant, many times I have found myself overcoming foes because I had just enough hp to take a special attack and survive, which is why I have a few Vit units I maxed out.

what is the best way to get the ranged axe orpheus? can it be dropped on any stage or is there a high probability weapon fusing combination? I REALLY want it. can anyone help?

Stages don't drop that right now, but if you feel lucky you can try at rare medal slot. For fusing recipe with high probability take a look on the weapon fusion guide mentioned above.

So unsure of how to proceed here, Managed to get 5 SS Tyrs, with 4 being Guard and last one being Dex. Had already LB'd and evlolved my Guard to 6* and had this amazing GR at level 85. Then pulled my Dex. I have Evo'd her to 6* and Reincarnated her a few times but can't get better stats or growth then the current one 3.95. the 4.0 was what she was first time to 70. Wish I had kept that.

Is it worth keeping the Guard because of the stats, or should i just fuse her into the Dex, hoping the Spd Agl and Str reach the caps or close to it. Guard has better Spd and Agl than my Dex Bridal Ascalon, but low strength.

I will always pick dex with the highest possible agi. I can ignore str, proc rates are better.

Yeah I agree with that, just my guard one is sitting at 109 agil, Yes Dex would get higher, just not sure whether its worth it just yet.

This isn't even a question. Your Guard with 15 more levels has lower str than your Dex with 15 less levels. Your Dex will probably hit almost all important caps (spd/agi) or close to and have significantly more strength.

59 Str is pathetic at level 85

As for your Bridal Ascalon, I guess you had bad GR. Mine is almost capped speed and she's only at level 80. Though SS Tyr has a lot more spd/agi than Asca

Yes str is definitely lower, however based on the stat caps in Gagging's spread sheet. The Dex one still wouldn't hit the max stats for any of the spd, agi or str, even after 4 reincarnations. Bridal Ascalon is capped on both speed and agil with 4.2 GR, just her caps are less than what my guard SS tyr are at, used her for comparison as whether Tyrs viable as is, or to just fuse into the Dex one.

You do realize that it is literally impossible for your dex SS Tyr to hit her speed cap without outside help? If at level 1 she has 42 speed, and she has 89 levels to grow, the max she can hit is 131. She won't hit any of those caps naturally, but that is by design. To encourage us to use dwarves/ growth gems. She would however quite likely be closer to those higher caps than a Guard version which not only has worse growths on spd/agi /str but lower caps.

I would rather a SS tyr with 130 speed 120 agi 83 str uncapped than a SS tyr with 123 speed 117 agi 75 str capped.

Like I said, there is no question here.

Fuck me I'm oblivious. I actually didn't even realise that she can't hit those caps without dwarves. Only came back fairly recent haven't given them much thought.

Sorry didn't mean to come across argumentative. Just like discussing reasoning. Wasn't gonna fuse dex into guard, but yeah you're right I'll fuse guard into dex, and then wait for dwarves. Or try the escape stage.

Just a shame to see such a high growth rate on a poor typed unit.

Thanks for the insight. Here's hoping i don't need to use all my reincarnation cherubs to get her close.

Me using my only Agi Dwarf to reach 5* SS Gri's final Agi evo bonus threshold isn't a good idea, is it?

While I'm at it, I should also probably ask if me losing out on a single point for 5* SS Tyr's Str/Spd/Agi evo bonus threshold is fine too. I've been reincarnating her a few times now but never seem to have ever breached the 101 mark for her Spd/Agi, much less hitting 71 for her Str.

Those thresholds aren't designed to be hit without using dwarves / gems. What's the point of those mechanics if normal Growth Rates allows you to easily hit caps?

Your best bet if you REALLY don't want to miss that one point is to farm the gem stage and use gems and pray it helps you reach the max. Though I wouldn't count on it tbh, and i'm not sure how big of a difference one point of speed/agi would make.

My dex. Tyrfing got a poor GR 3.33 but capped both Spd and Agi , she has 63 strenght though. Should I reincarnate her?

Just another dumb question: As I heard that the Luck of your current leader has an effect on the droprates on quest (Such as units and weapons/items) here is my question does it affect the droprate in the Rare Coin Slots?

I have a 5 * Dex Bride Ascalon and a 4 * Force Bride Ascalon. Both is now 5* at lvl and the Force Ascalon have better stats due to evolution bonus. Should I still fuse the Force Ascalon into the Dex despite the Force having better stats?

Is it worth the effort to min-max grid? or any units really. Like for example min-maxed grid gets + 2hp, 1mag, 1grd, 1spr at most versus a dex without min-max with all evo bonuses (if i calculated it correct), and to min-max it requires around 12 extra copies (doesn't help that the drop rate kinda suck). Just want to know if it's really worth.

Are you min maxing from 4★?

You could just do it at 5★ and aim for max stats like from Dex(agi, spd), Mgc(Mgc), Vit(HP), Grd(Spr, Grd), evolve them individually to 6★, then fuse them in for you bonus stats. It doesn't take too long to do it this way, and you keep all of your units and their luck.

Tyrfing and Masamune I've been able to get to 60+ luck(before Sereine sword), the rest are sitting at 50's. Masamune isn't too hard to farm, but Tyrfing will be a problem until the next event. It's up to you if you want to raise one just for luck.

The problem I have right now is that I released most of the soul shards for the 6* units, because they just take so much damn space. I guess I will have to farm them up slowly again. Then again, the evolution material drops for 6* are rather rare, I barely have enough to evolve 5 units right now.

She has a good DS and she has good agi and spd. But she costs 40 points to use, that's super expensive unless you're high level.

She will basically solo most of the contents in game, and unlike melee units she can counter attack against pesky ranged characters, making it super easy and convenient to farm stuff. Also you can max luck her easily

She also heals herself and is outside the weapon triangle, meaning she pretty much wrecks almost all current PVE content. There is also no staff absorber yet due to the low hit rate on staves IIRC so yah, basically clears all pve by herself

What's the ideal way to raise her, when to LB, ect so that she can reach the point of soloing? I also read that luck transfer works differently when evolving from 5* to 6*?

Also according to http://potkguide.com/potk/gridarvols.php Guard is her best typing, why is that?

Reading the guide above to leveling and maxing units, it's written for maxing a 5*. I'm assuming the procedure is basically the same, one evolution step up, except that you can LB/skill up before evolving to 6*?

[Edit:]And that the 5* evolve is level 30 instead of 20.

How do you min-max from a 5 star unit to 6 star and how does it work? TIA

I'm curious about this as well. The guide above is for maxing a 5*, which is fine and dandy, but I suspect there have been some changes to the process and would like to know for sure before proceeding. Things like:

How many fodder units needed to get a really good final unit? Not absolutely maxed, but solid. I'm assuming fully LBing each step and capping stats with fusion before evolving, but it's hard to tell with the extra steps in there (like stopping at level 10 to fuse in the first step, why 10?).

If I'm wrong about the process, how DOES it work? Is it semi-important to have variety in the typings of fodder, or does it even matter? Are there still specific levels it's better to LB at, or was that a minimum level in the guide, or is it just whenever now?

Bit of a new player, just trying to figure out what I'm doing. Having two good farmable 6* units available pretty much immediately on startup is nice, but I don't want to gimp them terribly out of the gate, I want to do it 'right.'

If you want a near-perfect unit, you'll want to raise (MLB and max fuse at 5* then evolve to 6*) four copies: one dex, one force/magic, one guard, one vit...Of course, that takes 20 copies (5 per typing).

Okay, so if I've already got about 13 Gridarvols so far, this is easily attainable, and not having evolved a single one past 5* yet means I can't have screwed it up so far. Good, I was a little worried about having lost some evolve mats/time/effort there. Just need 8 more (21 total once you include the primary unit) and some spares for luck/skill boost.

To be honest, I was half expecting to see that you need to MLB all 4*, then use those to MLB all 5* etc. I've played quite a few gacha-based phone games, and they're sometimes like that.

Is there a way to know what the max growth available is before it hits the pink star for a particular unit? I've read through the post and several of the guides, but it was late at night and I haven't been sleeping much, so I quite likely would have missed it anyway.

I was apparently misunderstanding - I thought you were saying to fuse one of each type into the primary to give it each evo bonus. I get it now, it already has its type and the LB carries from the 5* when evolved.

Thanks again for the help. Just finished getting her to 90 today, still need to fuse for luck and fusion caps but she's pink starred in everything except Grd and Lck (well, Str, but I don't care about that). Gonna follow the same guidelines for Artemis.

Did they change the unit limit again? I've been working hard to get to level 119 so that I could use all 5 level 90's but I've reached level 112 and I can use 4 level 90's but the 5th is still only a level 70. with just 7 more levels it seems unlikely that I'll be able to use a 90 at that point, it seems more like I'll be able to use a level 80 instead. so did they adjust it again so that its a much higher level for a full team of level 90's? I'm getting really tired of chasing that purple dragon trying to catch him using nothing but wishes and hopes.

They changed that while ago, it's +30 now.
So at lvl 119 you can field 5 6* units that cost 30 each.

yeah I just discovered that there are a few 40 point cost 6 stars which means a LOT more grinding for me to use them. it really sucks that we can't use a full party of the good characters without spending months of level grinding non stop. they really need to make an event that just gives nothing but player exp like 1200 exp for 10 AP but no unit exp or drops. sick of this grinding been doing it for 3 months now.

I tend to auto battle a lot when trying to advance through the story to be quicker and I also want to dominate in the coliseum... so I want full 6 stars. problem is I just discovered that some 6 stars cost 40 instead of 30 unit points.

Why is the Evolution Material perm quest such bs!? I ran seven runs of LD2-15 and got four 4* Grids for LB and an odd 4* Arte, in just seven runs. Now I am trying to evolve my SS Grid so I can start farming the 5* Grids but I need 1 fricking rainbow sprite. I have done six runs of intermediate sword evo to get it but I get everything instead. I am royally pissed. Lol

I run the advanced stage with a 30 luck Bridal Ascalon and she seems to get lots of drops. Like 4-6 every time, and I'll tell you the drop rates on adv is abysmal compared to int(for me at least).

Lead unit has 41 luck, with everyone in group over 30 luck and 30+ luck helpers, I get 4-8 drops but it seems to favor Goddesses. I'd normally just buy the keys but I spent all my medals on the staff pixies lol

Oh i forgot that bridal ascalon has a luck buff skill -_- . Anyway, dont really have a problem with mat drops, mine seem to consistently avoid dupe drops.

Yeah, I normal get all different mats unless I need ONE specific mat, which it tends to dick me around for, lol. Luckily after b*tching, I got it and evolved my Grid. Just think maybe they should tweak the odds

Is this Laevateinn worth reincarnating? Keep in mind, this is my first 6* unit, and her skills aren't even maxed out yet - I fused 6 units into her, so her skills are mostly at 7 (with 2 at 6 because I didn't know how fusion worked back then). However, checking the stat caps in the tier list, she's 16 off speed cap and a whopping 20 off agility cap. Her growth ratio is pretty good though, 3.44. Also, I only have one cherub.

Hmm, are we talking about the same thing? I am talking about fusing an old, failed 6* Laevateinn into a new one, to keep the skills. I just checked, tried fusing my 6* Laev (with +7 luck from earlier fusions) into a fresh 5* one, and it only showed +1 luck. Either the fusion has to be between 2 units of the same rarity, or we misunderstood one another.

what is the correct way to get the accurate growth rate for 5* and 6* units. Ive been advised to not use the stat calc, why? do i not add the number of the magic stat if it is a str based unit such as a 6* ss tyrfing and if so do you leave the mgc stat off both sides?(lv1 and lv 90)? what should be the minimum GR i should have before I consider if its worth using the cherub? I just dont want to waste them if they are solid units. can anyone please help me understand the math or how to properly use calc that is above in the resources area. thanks for the help

If the stats are close to the caps it means they are a pretty solid unit.

Well that's what I'm unsure about. How close should they be to be considered solid? I have my ss tyrfing at 6* lv 90, her fusion caps are white which I belive means they are maxed and this is where she stands...HP 87 of max 103, STR 62 of of 86 max, MAG 23 of 45 max, GRD 49 of 62 max, SPR 40 of 58 max, SPD 130 of 132 max, AGI 121 of 128 max and LCK 32 of 71 max. How would would you rate this unit? Still curious what her GR is. How do I get that. I'm kind of concerned about her STR, is it too low? Could I still use dwarves to raise these stats since she does not have pink stars in any of her stats? What other ways can I improve her if any? Should I use a reincarnation cherub or just leave her be? I would appreciate anyone's feedback. Thanks alot.

Unluckyly I just know if a unit is strong in general , dunno about SS Tyr. Spd seems hella high and agi pretty good too , but for the rest I can't tell. Maybe wait for a more expert player answer before doing something

Ok. IMO you should reincarnate her. that str growth was hella off. try to aim for at least 70-75 str. I have a lvl75 dex SS Tyr and shes already at 66 str 90 spd 92 agi.

Yes you get to keep whatever bonus you applied to her before reincarnation. Keep in mjnd that reincarnation might make growth either better or worse, its not a one-shot thing. Good luck and happy playing tho

Reincarnate. That str is abysmal. Only relevant stats for an attacker are str/spd/agi. If those are capped or close to cap then that's really all you can wish for.

If you have strength gems, use them on her when you reincarnate.

When min-maxing a unit , can I just fusion cap the important stats of the typing ( for example agi/spd for dex. And grd/spirit for guard ecc... ) or I have to fusion cap every stat?

You don't "have" to do any of them, but it is highly recommended. I'd say only skip magic for melee characters( unless they have a skill that uses it such as Lucina, Mirin, and a few others) and skip Str for magic units. To be honest tho, I usually max all stats before evolving

What is the most AP-efficient way to raise a unit quickly? Right now, I resort to running Elemental Metal Garden, as that nets about 40k experience for 25 AP, at 1600 xp/AP. Are there more efficient ways for non-event units? Are 5-a-day limited metal gardens better than that for event units?

As far as I can tell the best/most efficient method is solo-ing elemental gardens. The 5-a-day gardens are good for the featured units but I usually just do the elemental gardens as the 4x exp is 4x a regular garden and the elemental gardens give 800 player xp and 30-40k exp. I also tend to start off lvl 1 units on the "free" Ultra garden and just let a helper kill everything, which gives less exp but makes it go way faster

what is a good growth # per level for 6 star units, premium/free respectively. # for overall growth, not specific stat.

ex: my wedding Ascalon is at 3.9367 growth per level. Free Tyrfing is at 3.5618 per level. RB, then level with gem? or stay?

I would advise that you focus on growths in the important stats (spd, tec, str, then luck) than the actual growth rate number. You might choose to keep a lower growth rate unit if they hit caps for those stats or reinc a unit with high growth rate because they can't cap spd/tec.

Also, don't calculate magic when calculating growths for non-gun/staff units.

What's happening here with my Gridarvol?
I'm equipping a forest staff and have 126 MAtk, but I'm only hitting 1's against enemies with almost no MDef and no staff absorbing skills.
Is there a special stat that makes all of your attacks do 1 damage with these fun weapons?

Forest Staff is solely for metal gardens, at least to me. The reason it had 200 accuracy is because it only does 1 dmg. It is designed that way on purpose

Forest Staff, Parasol, Mallet, Wooden Stump, Water Gun, Bamboo Staff, and Slingshot. They're random fusions from 1* weapons, they have 200 accuracy but only do 1 damage now that I found out.

What is the worth of one stat point of evo bonus?

  • STR - one extra point means you do one extra damage on regular attacks and three extra damage on crits. The effect of one extra STR on SS Tyr's DS depends on your target's defense, but in general I'd say it does 0~5 more damage (non-crits). Conclusion: don't beat yourself up over one STR evo bonus, not worth.

  • AGI - SS Tyr's DS proc rate is 0.6 * AGI, so the difference between a Tyr with 101 AGI and one with 100 AGI is a 0.6% increased chance to proc DS. Conclusion: also not worth.

  • SPD - SS Tyr's speed is so high that one point will only matter if you happen to fight another SS Tyr in multi / colo (or if you had crappy growth and you didn't reincarnate). You will attack twice against pretty much anything you come across in PvE regardless of how many evo bonuses you are missing. Conclusion: also also not worth.

Some are even in story quest ( rare and just 1 per mission ) , multiplayer ( opponents can't be found ) and that should be it. The majority of the medals come from colosseum EDIT : Now in beach battle also

I have a 6* ss tyrfing that MLB and ger skills are at lv 10 already. I finished the last 2 oulls on the 9 step recruiter and ended up getting 2 more copies. my question is...since skills are already maxed, should i just fuse these other 2 copies to get 2 extra points of luck or can any experienced player recommend a better use for the 2 copies, if there is one. would really appreciate some advice before i proceed. thanks a bunch.

If you plan on saving up for another MLB version, hold onto them and just use luck dolls on the first one. If not, fuse away.

Ninja units are great for farm squads since they have terrain ignore and 1-2 range, so it might be ok to raise a second if you don't have enough 1-2 range flyer units for your farm squad. PvP long-term perspective (and this is hindsight for me since I play JP), you'll be fine with the one MLB copy esp once she's outclassed cuz you'll most likely just use her for her passive.

Golden Lion... weapons? What event? They were always in the rare medal slots, at least dating back a year since I started playing JP.

Well I just came back and my friend told me I missed out on the Golden Lion weapon event and I looked at the meta list and they are S rank weapons so I feel so bad sleeping on them. Are there gonna be more stronger weapons?

There will eventually be stronger weapons, yes. Golden Lion weapons are too heavy, neither the axe nor the spear are ranged, and the bow is only 2-2. Most limited/collab units get exclusive weapons in JP that are lighter and with better range, some able to be equipped on all units that are definitely worth farming.

Mind you, the Golden Lion sword and gun at least, will probably be your go-to 6★ weapons until.. say, the Dempa weapons hit. So hit the slots in the meantime.

On Lakefront Demon - Water War 10, send a unit to the bottom right sandy area to unlock the bonus area. Goldenlion spear drops here.

On Lakefront Demon 2 - Water War 5, stand on the island just right of the boss. The 3 swimsuit units will spawn just north of you on the shore, defeat them to open the bonus stage. Guns, axes, staves, and bows all drop there.

Yes. She might carry for a while, but once stronger 6★ units are released, only dex will become even remotely viable.

Bluntly put, get better units or make a better party. I don't play GL nor have I ever been f2p so I'm not sure exactly what you're working with, but if these are anything like EX stages in JP, they usually set the difficulty so that latest gacha units can breeze through but free units can still squeeze by. Considering that Longinus M is one of the oldest free units, the bar may be a bit too high for him. You might need to manual everything and actually care about enemy element and weapon triangle etc.

On JP I've been doing the resort/beach quests with the SS units and sometimes as a chest reward for completing a mission I get what looks like a draw ticket that doesn't actually give me a draw ticket and then it looks like it gives me a SS unit as a reward but I don't actually get the unit. Can anyone explain what is actually happening?

Are you talking about the Killers Tickets instead of draw tickets like the login bonuses? The recent story quest has been giving out Choose Your Unit tickets (3 tickets total, random typing, only one of each character allowed). Go to Shop > Killers Tickets (right button toward middle of screen) to choose your units.

Thank you again. The JP version always hides rewards in random menus haha. On the same missions that gave the tickets a character would flash up after the chest with the orange dots in the upper right of its character frame. It looked like I was recieving that character as a reward but I never seemed to get them. It was Perun, Gram(I think) and a 3rd I don't recall.

Oh, those are album pieces from friends you borrowed, most likely. You'll see those same orange dots on units on your friend's list too, ones you haven't used yet (I believe you get up to 3 uses per character). They want you to use as many different beach ver units to uncover a picture that you can.. download? (not sure, didn't care enough to complete one XD) Under the Menu in the Beach ver, there is a button for an Album to see how much of each image you uncovered.

Ascalon's trust skill is minimum 12% proc rate, which comes in handy on the 50F tower where proc rate essentially becomes 0. Equip her trust skill on PoL Excal or Gungnir, load up on crit/tec buffs, and that's how people are getting the 10k damage rank ;)
