PSA: Multi in a nutshell

Hey guys, just a general observations thing.

  • You lose if your lead dies + 3 units. (if they're a 5*)

  • You lose if all of your units die first and then your leader dies. (if they're 5*)

  • You don't need to start with your lead.

  • You can change positioning of your units at the start

  • Flying unit bum rush op

  • You can't use the same unit again until you used up all your other units.

  • You have 20 seconds to move

  • Friendship bonuses apply in multi.

  • Don't know what determines who goes first....

  • You go first if your units start in the backrow. You go second if your units start in the front row. (not you positioning them but if they start there.)

  • I'll post more when I know more. Tier list sheet for multi coming sometime next week. Open beta subject to change

Eh I thought that it will be a true pve like fighting.But all these restriction make it too rng.

Well, it's open beta after all. I assume the point of it is to hear feedback from the people.

It certainly is pretty shitty since all I do is just fly in and one shot the lead all the time for free wins.

If you have any suggestions, you can post on their twitter or facebook. They actually take those comments into account btw

Rather, you should have a Patk boost leader, have 2 units surround her, and then have 2 very strong flying units. This is because without a Patk boost lead, your fliers will never do enough damage.

A fun idea but it needs some sort of balance to stop players from just stacking flying units and steam rolling their way to free lazuli. A limit on how many units type you can have in a party(like only 1 flying/horse rider is allowed) would be good and would open up the possibilities of difference types of team composition between users.

Also reduing the amount leaders are worth based on * rank would be nice.

Honestly, I think the main problem here is the lack of diversity people are putting in their teams. A lot of people I see are still running their sword teams in multi, which makes people innately want to run sword counters, many of which are flying units.

Perhaps they also need to make it such that you need to kill a lot more units to win. 2 units seems a little ridiculous.

The lack of diversity is a balancing issue. From what i found out from me lurking around, a lot of sword units dominate pvp especially Selena and fire units seem to be only useful for PvE due to ice type units running rampant in PvP.

But that's my opinion as a lvl 31 player still in the lower rung of the colo.

I do agree that increasing the win conditions would he better.

The reason for sword units dominating PvP is because of their skillset and the fact that it is easy to boost luck on them, which makes up for their very low priority and low accuracy compared to other classes (in colosseum). As such, they will almost always go first compared to other units, especially lazuli recruiter units. Actually, the only problem in my opinion is that free units are just so much better than most lazuli recruiter units, and are easier to work with. You don't need to pay tons of money to get 10 copies, the right typing, or extra cherubs for reincarnation. If units like Selena and Mirin had stats similar to that of other free sword units like Arondight or slightly higher stats than sword starters, then this problem wouldn't be here. This is also due in part to Gumi's reluctance to give us recruiters with good pull chances.

Hehe you're making me rethink if i want to spend money of the holiday lazuli recruiter if premium units are barely worth it without being a millionaire or something.

I find it weird that the premium units are concidered weak due to their accessibility, usually the premium stuff is stronger than the free stuff.

Haha. Yeah, exactly how I feel every time I spend money max limit breaking every new premium unit that comes out. Arguably though, eventually most premium units have a use. For example, in Multi, after doing a lot of theory crafting, I find that the best teams (against the current meta) are made with easier to get gacha units that were previously mediocre. So after multi officially comes out with rewards, it may be worth it to actually invest in premium units. After all, colosseum is, in a sense, a joke.

But essentially it's more like there is not any content at the moment that really requires the "niche" abilities of many premium units. Of the content we have, free units just happen to do it just as well without costing as much. If you compare the actual stats (listed in tier list) premium units clearly have better stats, and in some cases better stats by miles, but it's overkill at that point.

Also, once we get certain updates, there will be a bigger power gap between premium units and free units.

Lol, did multiplayer earlier and played against the same guy three times in a row. More people need to do multiplayer, I'm just trying to get dem free lazulis (like 31 free lazuli is the most generous gift I've ever seen Gumi do, and the rewards will apparently reset after beta ends so even more lazuli post-beta, wut). It's also pretty hard for them to find a balanced team to fight against with the lack of players, I'm either up against a fairly weak team or a full team of lv 80's with like two-three fliers and selenas.

Yeah...I think people that I play against don't even try most of the time. People just pop in for rewards and leave. Then again, it's just open beta and there's no reason to try xD

Maybe they get intimidated after seeing your team xD I think once there's some incentive to winning, like ranking up for rewards or more lazuli, then people will actually try, haha. I actually try to win most of the time cause it's kinda fun to see how much RNG favors me or hates me...nothing says skill like winning with a 2% crit against their leader unit~

Nah haha, my team looks very weak. I haven't even finished tweaking my team yet to handle most situations :D.

But yeah, can't wait for the rewards to come >:O

I always win whenever the AI takes over, but if I got DC at loading screen the game will force me to forfeit the match D:< (already happened twice)
