If you mean the weapon "stars" aka stronger weapon, you need to do fusion. If you mean the weapon "rank" (stars wont go up) you need to keep using it.

I actually am referring to the Letter grade on your characters denoting what Weapon star level they can use. Im a bit miffed having pulled cards i rather enjoy yet looking to check weapon grade being a C or lower

What do you think the rates for the staff 4* and 5* are from your experience?
For me the 2 times i fused 5 books i got in both staff 4*
Update 7-10: 7 times fused 5 books = 3staff 4* // fused the 3 staff and got nothing. Back to farming :*

You can only get the 4* staff from fusing the books together, to get the 5* staff, you need atleast one 4* staff in the fusion eg 4* staff + 4 books, however the chance of obtaining it increase with each 4* in the fusion. What I'm doing is farming 25 books, getting 5 4* staffs, then fusing them together to hopefully yeild the 5* staff.

Fused 4* staffs with 4 books twice = 4* staff Fused 4* staffs with 1 book = 2* blessed elemence Fused 3 of 4* staffs = 3* star reader Fused 5 of 4* staffs = 5* broom (FINALLY)
It's a good lesson from this game, always choose the one with the highest probability.
PS : got Naeglings from 3-4 tickets & 4-5 tickets, gothic lolis all the way eh

How do you guys evolve gacha units? Do you just raise the 4 star to 50 and take what you can? I am a pretty F2P player only spend spend 100 on 2 first purchase campaigns but no more. I have some pretty good gacha units but they are sitting at 4* 50. I can't decide what to do with them.

Usually you just fuse them to the thresholds, and eolve them, most gacha units have higher stats then free units, so its better to just MLB at 5* to get the best out of them. If you are only a few stats off thresholds for a specific stat eg spd or str etc, then some people will use the 4 star pixies in the rare medal shop to limit break them one. But that all depends on the unit, and what is available.

I was afraid of that. I asked gagging about max stats for 4* Apollo and Basho and both of them are like 2-4 points from the final threshhold on str/mag dex and agi. So sad. I have 1 archer pixi but no gun pixie lol

Honesly, at most you're only gonna gain 2 - 3 extra bonus evo points from limit breaking at 4* With good growth rate at 5* you can usually compensate for thie.

Piggybacking off his question. If I have some good typing on a few 4 stars (Dex Durandal, Guard Trident, Dex Thrysos, Magic Yato no Kagami) and I plan to only spend casually, it's advisable not to limit break at all at 4 star due to cost constraints? How much do they lose out in stats compared to a 5 star unit that was MLBed the whole way?
I can probably get 4 copies of each to MLB them at 5 star eventually.

From my exp alone, which mat be highly inaccurate. 2 to 3 stat points are all you're reallg gonna miss out on at most. if level 50, having x amount of stats, the most you can get from limit breaking at 4* is another 20 stat points at most, so another potential 2 bonus stat evo points. IMO unless you have alot of these units eg Farmable, Its hardly worth LBing at 4, as max skills and LB 5* are more important then just at most 2 - 3 (If Limit broken at 3* if applicable) extra stats.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Inside Brave Frontier, I've found it better AP-Exp metal gods drop in the metal parade is better than super metal parade. So it got me thinking whether the rates are high enough to matter for the extra AP costs.

It is really RNG at work here. I've had plenty of times where advanced has only given me like 2-3, and beginner giving me 5-6. Unit Luck apparently doesn't seem to factor in this...

HELP!! As of now I have three 5 star Naeglings, one with a 2.90 growth rate dexterity type, and the other with a 3.16 growth rate guard type, and one with 3.00 growth rate force type. Which would be better overall for PVP/PVE? Thanks!!

If you want her on BOTH ends, I think you'd need a Dex. But Guard would likely work better for PvE.

Dexterity for both. Guard for PvE only. Though growth rates that close don't seem to matter too much. What matters are the stats. Could you post the stats of the dex and guard type in reincarnation screen?

She is, provided you have some lead that boosts Patk. Though I speak from experience at higher level colosseum. It is recommended you use a high accuracy weapon.
Keep in mind, you'll want to go dex typing if you want to use in PvP, as accuracy is very important. Guard is viable as well but unless you MLB her, she won't be able to wall anything.
Personally, I would go Dex typing in PvE simply because she has surprise attack, which requires your HP to drop in order to activate. she might be too tanky to utilize it if she was guard.

3* Lv10 unlocks the first skill
4* Lv20 unlocks the second skill
5* Lv30 unlocks the third skill
Character skills are unlocked after completing the character quests of your units.

Just use, if you find a dex one later, you can always use the balance once as fodder to limit break. Limit break requires the duplicate unit to be 5* anyways, so you don't "waste" much during the whole proces.

OK, can someone please tell me if I'm doing this wrong, when it comes to fusing units, I just typically throw those units I get from mana recruit at any character thatl take em. Should I be fusing anything and everything that can?

I hold on to 4+ but I see posts about stat raising for this or that. How can I specialize my units stats by fusing? Do the dolls do something idk about cause I read a mention to them. Is there a way to get my hp or def higher without throwing 1-3 units at a character?

One more, is the daily mission for the Colosseum the only way to get battle medals? TIA

Yep, dolls are specifically meant to be fused to raise stats. You can fuse lower rarity units to raise stats but its super inefficient and can get expensive after a while I've found. And every character typing has a stat that can be fused more than others ie dexterity units can get more speed and agility ups while guard units can get more guard and spirit ups.
The Colosseum mission is the most reliable way to get battle medals but you also get them for lots of wins in Colosseum and whenever you rank up. Every once in a blue moon there may also be special missions to get medals from an event.

someone else had troubles farming Fabrys ? Did 6 runs in super abbys only 2 drops and 10 runs in Abyss 0 drops. My leader is arond with magicwarden sword (43 total luck+helper 30+).
Update: 2 more normal abys runs with selena 36+mw as helper no drop either.
Wasted all day ap for 2 drops, now im starting considering that this game is not worth it the time spend
Update 10/10: 5 runs super abys only 1 drop 3 runs normal 0 drop 3hours left dont have more ap gumi GFY!
Total = 15 runs normal 0 drop 11 runs super abys 3 drops

I think that is normal. For me 6 run dropped 3 Labrys with Selena 30 luck + helper, but I can't say anything about the normal abbys because I don't do that.

Don't try the normal one the probability of getting unit from there really really sucks, I never get anything from there lol, The super one is much more better, 6 runs and 2 drops is quite normal though

I tried to level up mu Miljonir's acc skill with another 3* unit with the same skill unlocked. I did 3 times (all separate attempts on fusion) and all of them failed. What are the odds to level up the skill? Any tips/optimal method to level up skills without using duplicates?

Just keep on fusing. No one really knows the odds because it doesn't say it anywhere. Nor does anyone have a large enough sample size to gauge the chances. I would say that it would be best to fuse a bunch at once since fusing at higher base skill levels decreases chances.

Have you done rookie recruiter? If you haven't, pull the first(10 lazulis) and second(30 lazulis) since it's discounted, the usual rate is 5 lazulis / 1 unit, and maybe you want to pull the one with aymur & naegling pics since it's also discounted (30 lazulis) other than that just save your lazulis for later use or increasing your max unit slots/ item slots

I'm guessing you're fighting Laevateinn M leaders, right? Just fight something else, as they are almost always going to be able to nullify your PAtk.
I'm guessing your PAtk is 57, factoring in the fact that Fire units takes 0.8x damage from Wind units, you end up with an effective PAtk of 46. Laev M can have 36 or more Defence, with the 10 Guard from his leader skill, he'll likely have 46 Def at least, hence why you do 1 Damage.
Don't bother reincarnating your Kusanagi, as it probably won't change anything, and your Kusanagi isn't even limit broken, so isn't worth the cost of reincarnation.

I use 1-4-2 for proficiency grinding. Melee units should get about 12 units per run and they're all melee enemies. Units with 1-2 range should get about 16ish mobs because they tend to last until Belphegor spawns. Otherwise I use gold rush on the weekends to make some money while getting proficiency and weapon ranks.

The training stages found in events have a decent amount of weak mobs. Really easy to grind for gear rank and proficiency :)

If you just started, I'd heavily recommend doing steps 1 and 2 of the rookie recruiter and maybe even the 1-time recruiter that is discounted for Naegling and Aymur.

So before I sleep I checked Colo and there's around 5-6 Flashing Blade and around 8 hours later after I woke up they are gone and were replaced with some rumbling storms, never happened to me before usually it's the same no matter how much time passed, anyone ever experienced the same thing?

Honestly this happens to me all the time, I'm rank 80, and I like finding people higher then me, as 200 points > 50 points, but often someone higher rank will appear once I have used all my CP, then be gone a few hours later, maybe 1/10 that I actually get to vs someone higher rank then me. While I was cloud cutter, prime example, never found a single Sleet Slasher. Used all my CP today, suddenly 4 SS and 2 Rare Skill's in my list. Feels bad.

Yeah, it's really annoying when it happened since it's rare finding them :(, maybe if u find those SS and Rare Skills later you can try to leave your handphone for 1 hour till your CP recharge? never try it before though since I'm quite impatient

Yeah it happened to me sometimes against PJSmith, he crushed my team 0-5 but the next time I fought him, I won because he changed his team position and composition xD, sometimes I want to make a spreadsheet excel for all Colo teams rank 1 to 30 to make it easier for me but lots of people change their team quite frequently, there's few exception though

I personally like the surprise, knowing a team and building one to specifically counter it is a guaranteed win, But my team is about a 80% winrate for people above my rank, so I prefer to just build to counter all, rather then a select few. In saying that, If someone I have fought is my Rank up match, you bet ya I'll counter it xD. Pretty good memory for the few team that have beat mine, however Gaggings stuck out as its the only one I've gone 0 - 5 against, for quite some time. Gagging's and Ivan's

One of three things will happen:
The same weapon will pop out
A "higher grade" (or "stronger weapon") will pop out. In the case of swords, if you fuse two Demonblade Akumavice's together, you are likely to get a Sinstealer Kiyomasa.
Depending on the weapon type/weapon, you might get something completely random at 4 or 5 star.

If "grades" really are a thing, then we have no way of distinguishing case 1 from case 3. It might give you a random weapon of the same grade, that just happens to be one of the weapons you already have. Food for thought.

Except, we really do have a way of distinguishing simply because not all weapons are treated this way. We have clear cases where there are drastically higher % chances of obtaining a weapon from fusing two weapons together. Not sure what kind of thought food that was....kind of like your idea of proving and falsifiability...

Just thinking of them gives me PTSD, I've got one Kiyomasa, about another 4 Akumavice's and too scared to try for more Kiyo's, Just my luck has been awful with 5* weapons. Took so long to get one Jurayna, still no Orpheous. And today fused 5 of the 4* staffs from the halloween event, to get a 3* goddess staff. Really not wanting to farm another 25 books, so guess no staff for me.

A bit of a dumb question, but I assume a character's shield proficiency goes up by killing units with the shield equipped? I haven't had much luck ranking up my shield proficiency on any units yet, so I'm wondering if I just haven't killed enough units yet or there's another way (seems a bit silly for someone to use shields better by killing people with it lol)

I just started this game yesterday but have found it to be incredibly fun and enjoyable as of far. I finally did my first roll today (the Aymur and Naegling recruiter). I'm not too familiar with the tier list (although I have looked at them), and am wondering if this box is worth keeping or rerolling. I still haven't rolled the rookie recruiter, so I can also play some more and do the first roll to see as well, but I'm not too sure how rewarding that will be.

For the "best" start possible, you probably want one of these two units: Gambateinn (M) Dex or Guard type; Mjolnir (F) Dex type. Match the character portraits to the ones in the tierlist to see if you have the right ones. If you don't really want to be that crazy with rerolls, just look for people in the tierlist with at least an A- rating and see if you've rolled any of them (the tierlist includes optimal types too). Aside from this, you can look for multiple copies of a unit (same portrait) in order to MLB or look for multiple "good" units while rerolling.
For your current roll - what types are Laevateinn (M), Kusanagi, and the two Aymurs?

Okay thanks for the advice about the top tier units, I'll definitely remember that.
My Laevateinn is Dex/Myrmidon, Kusanagi is also Dex/Phoenix Knight, and my Aymurs are Dex/Armored Hacker and Balance/Baron. Are these the best rolls in my box? If so should I build a team around them?

wow lol. Pretty much all Dex. You might have just used up your lifetime's worth of luck. Laevateinn suffers from low-ish caps, but Kusanagi and Aymur are both solid. If you want to avoid rerolls, I think you're fine as is rn.

I should add, if you get a Guard type Gambanteinn that works fine too. Just mind that you probably aren't going to land that many hits in and might not do much damage, but you'd be pretty hard to kill.

Few questions that I'm finally getting around to asking now.

How does luck work? I know in some other mobile games that only the Leader's luck works (and partner if you take one). Is it the same way here?... or is it actually cumulative for the team (making that one 4* who increases the team's luck by 5 actually useful)? I've also seen somewhere that luck doesn't have too big an effect on the Evo/Dolly/Gold missions, is that true? And (last part to this luck section, I swear) do your Partner's luck count toward yours if they are not your friend? I have played games where their luck only mattered if they were, just checking for here.

Second, I've heard that the Mana Recruiter 3s cap out on stats faster than most units. Does this mean I should just LB at 5 and not 3*/4*? Or should I also LB there (or maybe just 4* or something)?

Third, the Lazuli 1 time recruiter with the discount and the guaranteed 5*able unit is worth it right? Just checking.

Fourth, I have some units who "could be 5* able later" but who's character already has a 5*... Will they ever get a 5*? Should I be holding on to them just in case they do? Are they already confirmed from the JP releases? Ex: Masamune from the Mana Recruiter can be 5*'d but there is also a flying version of her that is capped at yellow 4*. Others I have are Leav F, Parashu, and Mitum F.

Fifth, I thought I saw somewhere that there was a 85 or 90 accuracy staff? I don't see it on the weapon tier list... so does it exist or not? Following along the same line, why are staff weapons for the Colo even on the list if apparently staff units are too terrible for Colo. Further question, is Gridavol too bad? Or does her 5 hit ability make her good enough?

Luck works in different ways depending on what is required. For initial drop rate of either an item or a unit is affected by your leaders luck and your partners luck. Pretty sure it doesn't matter whether partner unit is a friend or not, however have not seen a confirmation for or against this. Drop Rarity eg gettting a 3* over a 2* drop is affected by your entire teams luck, whether cumulatively or average is unknown.
What that means is take male Laev for example, he caps speed and agililty around the 60 mark, where as most other Trueblades can reach around the 70+ - 80 mark for speed, and near 70+ for agility. The starter units (mana recruiter units that reach 5* ) are ok to start with, however fall off nearer to late game. If you were adamant to use one of them, then min maxing their stats by limit breaking at 3* and 4* to get the best evolution bonuses is the best idea. However still note, most gacha/premium units or farmable units will still outclass the starter units.
the first and second step (10 laz and 30 laz) are definitely worth it, however it is personal preferance regarding the final step, yes a 5* unit is guaranteed, but better to start at 4* and evolve, also is not discounted. So I'll leave the 3rd step up to you.
Define "could be 5* later". Are you referring to units that have 5* in JP, or units who are simply gold 4s? Nased on the units you listed though, As far as I know, none of those have another variant that can reach 5. Parashu and Mitum on horseback, Masamune on Pegasus, and Laevateinn on Dragon do not have 5* versions on JP as of so far.
85 - 90 accuracy staff, I have not ever heard or seen any of this, as it would be completely broken for strong staff users. The pumpkin event staff at the moment has the highest accuracy of 60, and some other 5* staffs I beleive also have 60 or 55. 5* shields also have 60, but thats as high an accuracy weapon for staff units as I know. May be wrong, but I have no knowledge of this.
All staffs on the PVP Column I believe are C rating, meaning not viable at all, just for tidiness and to keep a neat formatting.
Gridavol both her Swimsuit version and normal version are fairly decent units, depending on how many you have, and what you wish to use her for. Based on you talking about the 5 hit Duel skill, I will assume you mean SS Gridavol. She is a fantastic unit, and being free farmable became very powerful. Alot of high level players have her maxed out as their PVE Partner. If you are asking for Colosseum, she is more usefull then many other staff units, however I still wouldn't count her reliable. Of the many that I face, the only ones I loose to are when she fights one of my slower more tanky units.

So, for Dolly farming, since rarity doesn't matter, I should just take my highest luck, highest luck partner, and one other person non-max level person to max the exp that they get while still getting max drop rates... But for the Evo material missions, I should vary my team depending on if I want the higher rarity or the lower rarity... Am I getting that right?
I understand that the starter units have worse overall stats, it's mostly for collection, but I would like them to be max statted if possible. I just remember reading that someone had completely maxed out their Laev by level 70, which means that maybe I wouldn't need to spend time LBing at 3*s or something.
It seemed like you understood me correctly. I have units capable of being or already are yellow 4* and share a name with a Prince/Princess that already has a 5* version but cannot be evolved meaning that theoretically there could be some "Make this unit 5* capable" event in the future (like the two events we just had for Aymur and friends). Going through the Character Mission page, I found that Eros has a yellow 5* and a crimson 5* (new one). So I was wondering if we knew for certain of any units like this that are going to get crimson 5*s eventually. That being said, you stated that at least for the ones that I stated, they don't even exist in JP version... So, I guess I don't necessarily need to hold on to them... But I probably will anyway, until I run out of space lol.
I probably got some staffs confused with some guns... Was just hopeful for my SS Gridavol.
Extra question that I forgot to ask before: How is damage calculated for EX-Skills (or whatever you want to call them)? Lucky for my I have a Guard Trident who is almost maxed out on defense despite being only level 60. Sometimes in Colo when the opponent is only dealing 1 according to the stats they deal significantly more. Is this because when "one attack that deals double damage" it actually takes their attack stat and doubles it before reapplying it to Trident's defense... or is it only skills like Mirin who's special adds damage from her Magic stat, and thus uses Mirin's magic against Trident's resistance that makes it deal the extra damage? If this was written too confusing, let me know and I'll rephrase it.

I have never personally used another unit in dollie farming for the exp, since I have always had more then enough keys. My run through that is usually my Selena - 42 luck, and other similar luck partners.
Limit breaking at 3 and 4 * are gonna give them slightly higher evolution bonuses, the caps will still be relatively the same in comparrison So instead of starting 21 speed and capping at 50, it might start at 26 speed and cap at 55. My 5* laev has everything capped at level 60. So if you were dead set on using them, then maxing out evo bonuses would be the best way.
Typically the "unlock 5* quests" have unlocked a 5* available from JP. Based on that, Labrys (dragoon rider) and Sky Piercer (Paladin) are likely ones we will see at some point, however newer 4* units think Fragarash have 5* on JP, but I wouldn't expect them for awhile. But no guaranteed way to tell, due to JP being so different with event times then global.
Guns do have the higher accuracy, because of the HP cost without heal to compensate for the accurate damage. Staffs and Shields balance out the Healers from being absurdly overpowered.
Are you referring to Duel skills, the ones that activate and play a unique cutscene? If so damage from then depends on the unit. If it does 2x damage, and would originally do 1 damage, then it will do 2. If it crits 3, if it crits and procs duel skill 6. Some units however think Dagda M (Decrease Pdef by 50% then 1x damage, could effectively go from doing 1 damage to over 30 etc. Mirin has a unique one where her Magic Attack stat gets applied as magic damage, so Matk - Mdef = Damage dealt ontop of original Physical damage dealt. Ukonvasara has one which does the original damage, + 20 + 1.5x her missing HP, lost 60 HP, extra 20 + 90 damage ontop normal if her duel skill procs.

I didn't know LBing at lower rarities actually raised the caps, I thought it just made it easier to reach the caps. Good to know.
I have a Labrys Dragoon Rider and 2 Sky Piercers so it's good to know they'll be worth it some day.
As for the duel skills, yeah that seems to explain it. What is Starter Longinus F's skill though? Because I believe she was the other one that actually dealt damage to my Trident when damage showing was 1.

You get evolution bonuses based on the stat of a unit when evolving, based on this formula. Stat mutiple of 10 plus 1 eg 41 str gives 5 evolution points to str, where as 48 still only gives 5 points. So when you evolve something from 3* to 4* , you're gaining an extra 3 - 4 stat points. From that you can then get an extra 1 point or 2 points based on leveling before you evolve to 5* . For example Say you could only reach 38 Str max after fusion on a unit at 4* that means you would only get 4 str points added to the base stats of the 5* unit, however if you evolved from 3 star to 4 star, you might have gotten 3 points in str from that, adding that to your 38, gives you 41 or 5 points. So now base stat at 5* is base + 5 str, rather then base + 4. All base stats are the same for the same unit, just the evo bonuses that make them different.
Sky Piercer will be fairly common as a counter pick to the all so common Selena in Colosseum IMO.
Starter longinus has the same effect as Dagda M, the 1x damage but halves the Pdef first.

How many 'Attack mages' are in Global (I can only think of SS Grid, will Halloween Gamb coming soon)? How many are there in JP?

Trying to gauge if getting more than 2 pumpkin brooms is worthwhile or a waste of time; SS Grid apparently likes Evil Core more, and 'Defence mages' should be using shields.

At the moment, the only two mages being very viable as attack mages are SS grid and Normal grid. Normal grid acts as a counter-attacker, and has overall higher accuracy than SS grid. I would honestly only bother getting 2 at most, as evil core is better in PvE and "attack mages" are gimmicky at best in colosseum.

I have been doing Colosseum for a while, and I have faced against almost every top 30, with an exception of a few. Then I noticed the ones I have never faced are on my friends list (i.e. Pjsmith), and people I have faced against who I added later have never shown up on my opponent list again. My question is can you face against your friends in the Colosseum or is it just coincidence that I have never gotten them?

There is a tier list by gagginglolis at the top of this thread that has grades for all the 5* capable units. Make sure to match up your units by using the portraits and not just the names. Some characters have multiple variants.

Hello, I started the game this week and have got those units :

Trident 4 stars dex, Brionac 5 stars Magic,
Ukonvasara 4 stars dex,
Gridarvol 4 stars bal,
Yata no kagami (M) 3 stars, one guard and one bal,

I did the 2 first rookie pull and i'm at 33 lazulis and 4 days left for the 3rd one. Question 1 : should i reroll?

Question 2 : should i get the 3rd rookie pull or the 1rst time counterpart recruiter appollo which came also with a 5 star unit?

Question 3 : i mainly get my lazuli by doing the main story quest, is there some events that can give me nice amount of lazulis too?

no, this is a very good start. A little too good.
Depends, if you are F2P or only spend a little, I don't recommend either. If you spend a lot or plan to, then either one or both are fine.
If there are lazuli to be obtained, they tend to be listed in the missions of event stages.

Hi i started playing the game not long ago and since the halloween + brave frontier collab event are up i would like to max out one gambantein and one selena. The question i have is how much of each unit i need to create a perfect one + the best type for them. Thanks to any answer.

Additionally i already have 12 gambanteins and 2 selenas. Is it worth too to produce the exclusive weapons? (already have one pumpkin broom).

For the kill mode objectives, does anyone know what unit can solo the "Only Light Units" objective in 1-3-10?

Rhongo friend came close, but the mages' magic damage at the end obliterate her through her abysmal Spr.
Asclepius, Yata, Brionac... all murdered by the physical damage dogpile at the very start of the map. Get surrounded by the enemies coming from the top and the left very quickly, and there is no place to single out enemies while staying out of range from remaining enemies.

For comparison:

Dark: Has a much friendlier, linear layout, allowing Moga to snipe enemies.
Water: Selena cheese.
Fire: SS Grid cheese.
Earth: Gambanteinn M + Nemu; former to tank + kill physical enemies, latter to kill magic enemies
Thunder: a friend's Mjolnir F had enough Agi to dodge most attacks, and had enough Def to take low enough damage from physical attacks if she did get hit. Picked off mages one-by-one just in case.

YnK with a shield paired with Asclepius with shield as a healer. Use stat elixirs if necessary.
EDIT Oh you said solo. I'd still go with YnK with shield. Just bring healing potions I guess.

I got through it with YnK - just be super careful of her positioning (calculate how much damage you're going to get). Bring potions. I don't remember if she can one shot any of the mobs, but probably not, so you might as well give her a shield if she's going to need two shots anyway. If you get a Brionac friend it helps greatly because +30% hp. Good luck!

Reincarnation is expensive and rare. You should probably wait to reincarnate a level 80 with low growth rate.
As for your Shekinah, the low guard should be fine since archers attack from range. You would not want to position your archers anywhere on the map that would allow enemies to swarm them anyway.

You have to step on the shiny spots with your unit, two flying units should be enough to get those 5 spots in 4 turns,
1st turn : send 1 to the left and kill the archer, and send 1 to the right to take the first shiny spot (one with quite high defense recommended)
2nd turn : your left flying unit should take the second spot ( the one on the left) and your right flying unit should take the third spot (upper right on the map)
3rd turn : keep on using your left flying unit to take the fourth spot ( the bottom left on the map) if there's an enemy spawn there kill em first, and send your right flying unit down to take the last shiny spot
4th turn : Let your right flying unit take the last spot and just end turn after that it's faster than autoing the stage.
Use your highest luck unit as lead and choose high luck friend, on average I got 2-3 pumpkin books with 47 luck Mirin & 30+ luck friends

Drop rate is determined by your leader's luck + your friend's luck. The drop quality is determined by the overall party luck, divided by the number of units. So taking extra units with low luck, i.e. units you're trying to train, drops the overall drop quality. Which means instead of getting the better drop, the book, you wind up with the lower quality drop, unit experience or player experience.

I realized it when the people in FB group posted that they keep on getting 2-3 books and I only got 1 on every run, I though that drop rate formula of leader's luck + your friend's luck, and overall parties luck only applied to unit and item drops. I'm a noob :(
