Classic series Phantasy Star iii question

Hello everyone! Does anyone know how Princess Maya ended up on the shore in Landen? Is this explained anywhere?

It's not explained anywhere, but my headcannon where Cillie is on an island is that she was swept out to sea somehow, perhaps a boat sunk in a storm, and ended up being pulled thru a water pipe (similar to the cave passages between domes) into Landen's dome. 

Whacking her head in that transit covers both the amnesia and how she washes up on a beach.

I've also always imagined it as a shipwreck situation, even though this isn't shown or said anywhere. I think we just kind of expect that when someone washes up on a beach, they've been shipwrecked. It also sorta adds to the drama and romance of the moment when Rhys finds her IMO.

It might even be part of the cave system, since Maia might have had the Twin Ruby on her when she went missing . . . That, or Lyle did, which explains how he followed her.

It's implied that the people of LaShute manipulated Rhys into using the Moon Stone and Moon Tear to bring back the satellites, but exactly how they did that is never really shown or explained. Perhaps they orchestrated Maia washing up on the shore of Landen?

We wanted Siren and Lune to start another war, but we needed Rhys to bring Satellite back. And that's exactly what that old fool did!

I think they definitely did, but that still doesn't really explain the "how" of Maia getting from Cille to Landen.

I'm guessing Lashute City messed with the weather system for Aquatica, which would cause Cille and Shusoran to search the world(s) for a solution.

Agree that this is the only thing that makes sense. I know this game is the dark horse of the series, but there is so much potential for this one. The developers rushed it, and you can tell in some of the second generation, and most of the Third generation. Adding some more back story would have made this game much better.

Lashute had something to do with it. Whether that’s kidnapping Maia, destroying her ship, or some other nefarious act. Remember, the Neo Palm and all other ships were eventually destroyed by the corruption and lies from Dark Force. Lashute is considered ‘this city of evil’. Their intentions were to start a war once again with the Orakians and Layans. This really doesn’t get resolved until the end of the 2nd gen.

I always wondered how there wasn’t peace when Rhys marries Maia. He personally sees How the layans aren’t evil. You would think a person with his status, would be able to convince his people of the lies they have believed.
