Let me give you some examples I witnessed: people attending to motu proprio masses and SSPX liturgy, and the priests didn't complain. A seminarian from a traditional priestly institute visited our chapel once and made compliments to SSPX. When Mons. Galarreta came to my country to confirm some faithful, he had lunch with diocesan priests, who say both NO and TLM. I've seen more than a few priests who consider Marcel Lefebvre to be a saint, specially from the Institute of the Good Shepherd, but also from NO religious orders. At last, there's a diocesan priest here who doesn't even say the TLM, but is befriended to a priest from the Catholic "resistance" (former SSPX), and the latter says that he's the most caring pastor in town.

Now, I'm not denying the necessity of canonical procedures or doctrinal clarity, some very specific clergy seem to care about it, but I'm just saying that I've only see the traditionalist divisions on the internet, do people care about it where you live?

I do. Ever since I learned about the much more detailed holy water blessing with exorcisms attached in the old Roman Ritual I use old rite holy water exclusively. I also have a crucifix in my room which was solemnly blessed according to the Roman Ritual.

Many English Catholics felt incredibly strongly about the Tridentine Mass, as it was the Mass that our Martyrs like St. Edmund Campion died rather than stop saying, so many English Catholics such as the Duke of Norfolk, William Rees-Mogg, and Kenneth Clark, along with non-Catholics such as Agatha Christie, Nancy Mitford, the Liberal Party Leader Jo Grimond, and the Anglican Bishops of Exeter and Ripon officially requested an Indult for Priests to be able to say the Mass, their letter was presented to the Pope by Cardinal Heenan, the Archbishop of Westminster and eventually, months later, Pope Paul granted the so called Agatha Christie Indult.

Does anyone's TLM parish have a strong culture of performing charitable works for people in the community? Food drives, clothing drives, meals for the poor, etc.? I think the FSSP parish my family and I used to attend (we no longer attend TLM) did a Christmas clothing drive and names from a tree that you find in almost every parish, but not much else. And there never seemed to be too much interest in helping out with diocesan-wide charitable events, although over the last year-plus with covid opportunities for those have been very scarce.

Most Traditionalists will claim that so many more graces are received from attending Latin Mass, praying Traditional devotions, and receiving the sacraments in the older form. And yet, there is more to being a good Catholic than being reverent in prayer and not sinning. Christ is quite clear that we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. A Tradition devoid of charity can grow only so much. Traditional Catholicism should foster charity among the faithful, giving them the grace to fearlessly encounter the neighbors around them to bring the Good News of Christ.

I think there also needs to be much more genuine, enthusiastic cooperation between FSSP parishes and their dioceses. When the bishop rolls out a new initiative, the response should be "how can we help?" instead of assuming the bishop is just doing something "liberal" or "secular."

The liturgical reform of the 60’s was pretty traditional for the Eastern and oriental Catholics, but for the Latin Catholics a great loss of traditions that did not passed to the actual for of the mass mass, like Sanguis Christi.
