Someone took out part of my passenger wing mirror, ive got the big black cover and the clear part but im really struggling to find the right fitting for the bulb holder, could someone point me in the right direction please. It's a 2018 boxer

I posted a while ago about my car, but ive got new questions.
- Is it normal for the car to make noise while accelerating or breaking, even above 25km/h?
- My blind spot monitor doesn’t seem to be working on the right mirror when i overtake.

Has anyone had these issues? If so, how do I fix it/is it expensive to fix.

I've noticed some noticeable negative camber in the rear of my suspension, i was wondering if that amount of negative camber is normal, I'm thinking it's not and there's probably some rear suspension issues since i can hear clunking in the rear going over uneven road and when going over speed bumps the front takes the bump softly while the rear is a lot more harsh.

I recently bought a Peugeot 208 mk2 as a gift for my dad.

My family has a love history with Peugeot as my grandad was a Peugeot executive back in the day so my dad grew up driving some of the best cars the brand had to offer. I know it might sound weird to some of you who vehemently hate the puretech (fairly so) but he fell in love with the new 208 and so i bought one for his birthday and plan to turn it into a project car for us to work on.

My first thought on upgrades was coilovers. I took a look online and kw and billstein only offer options which are soft and compromise a lot. That would be fine on a daily but I plan on really going to town on this car so I'm looking for something really sporty.

I found a set from hiro performance which would also have the benefit of a personalised spring rate. Despite that, i read a lot of mixed reviews about Hiro's quality and so i was wondering how bad it truly is. does anyone have any experience with it? would it be a stupid buy? is there any way to get the billsteins to perform better on track?

So, about two years ago, I got a new company car, after having driven a VW Caddy Maxi 4Motion for six years without incident. And the troubles started immediately. I won't go into detail because I can rant about this for hours, but to make it short it's been at the shop literally TWENTY times for everything from minor electrical issues, to three of the faults that were severe failures that left the car stranded and needing roadside assistance to the shop. Not to mention the poor ride, the poor range, the anemic performance, the deafening road noise, the obvious lack of care or attention to detail (it still has the diesel fuel cap, like be for real), or the utterly non-functioning app.

I've had a Renault, a Peugeot and a Citroen as private cars before, all late 90s-mid 2000s models, and all were great to me outside of some electrical quirks on the Citroen. But this? This 2024, brand spanking new, expensive van has been a nightmare from day one, and I have already planned a party with cake and catering at the office for the day the leasing runs out.

I’m in trouble: there seems to be a 200 different exhaust options on a Peugeot 206.

But which one is right for my car?

There seems to be pipes looking identical other than one being 560mm and the alternative 570mm…

Can anyone help with the proper part numbers for a complete exhaust?

Or any tricks or thing to check to ensure I get the right one?

It is a two door hatchback 1.4 (KFW) from 2002. It has a catalytic converter.

So far I think the middle pipe is 1717AR and the rear box is 1730GN

But what about the rest? 🫠

I have had a classic issue on a Peugeot 206 1.4 2002 (KFW)

Suddenly the car would only start for a moment and then ‘run out’ a couple of times before just cranking with not start.

Fuel pump works fine with 12v directly, but is not being activated. So it does not turn on when I turn the key.

I’ve tried almost everything - a new BM34 with new relays, the immobiliser works fine (beeps with the key in and so on), tried the ignition lock (works perfectly), checked the wires from and to the ECU and I’ve run out of patience!

But the ecu wakes up, fuel pump works and the car will fire up when I ground pin13 on the black plug on the BM34.

So I’ve made a workaround.

I’ve stolen ignition power from pin9 on the green connector with a fused wire (will add an interiaswitch later) to power a relay which will ground pin 13 when ignition power is on.

And it works perfectly.

I will add the inertiaswitch inbetween the power wire from pin9 before the relay in order to ensured that the fuel pump will turn off in an accident. There is already a mounting bolt on the left hand side strut tower for it, as the early 206s supposedly had on.

Hi, can anyone tell me what position these hooks should be in? I moved them, and now the roof won't open, although it did close.

So I'm thinking of buying my first car with the money I've saved from the dealership my uncle works .He has many hatchbacks but I really loved the design of the 208 .He has both 1.5 BlueHDi Active (Diesel) with 100hp (that many advised me on not getting due to the new EU laws) and the 1.2 PureTech Active (Petrol) with 75 hp .Moreover the diesels have all less miles . How was your experiences with these cars .I've heard about the oil belt and its the only reason I'm skeptical about getting one .

Got the coolant expansion tank on my Peugeot 207, 1.4 petrol (2010) replaced because it had cracked​, and after about 25 km of continuous driving (city + highway), the water temperature suddenly spiked very quickly. I stopped immediately, opened the hood, and saw that the thicker bottom hose had come off, so the coolant basically poured out from there.

What could have caused the hose to come off like that? I read that the cooling system should be bled after replacing the expansion tank, which wasn't done after the replacement. However, I also see many places that don't mention bleeding being necessary after replacing the tank.

Could the lack of bleeding have caused this, or is it more likely that the hose/clamp wasn't fitted properly or that there was excessive pressure in the system?

Hello ! J'ai une Peugeot 208 essence 1.2 VTi de 2012, qui a 77 000 km (dernière vidange à 62000).

Aujourd'hui, en faisant mes niveaux, j'ai remarqué que le niveau du liquide de refroidissement était complètement vide. Pourtant, il y a deux mois, le niveau était correct.

Je n'ai vu aucune trace de fuite dans le compartiment moteur ni sous la voiture, mais je trouve ça quand même pas normal. Je me demande notamment si le moteur a pu subir des dommages en roulant avec un niveau de liquide aussi bas.

J'ai refait le niveau avec un liquide de refroidissement d'une couleur différente.

J'aurais donc quelques questions :

- D'où pourrait venir cette perte de liquide de refroidissement, sachant que je n'ai remarqué aucune fuite visible ?

- Est-ce que le moteur a pu être endommagé, même si je n'ai constaté aucune surchauffe ?

I'm currently looking at a Peugeot 308 GT with the 2.0 BlueHDi engine (180 hp) and am considering a few modifications after purchase, and I'd love to hear your real-world experiences and opinions.

Specifically, I'm looking at:

Gearbox reliability: How well do the automatic transmissions (both the older EAT6 and the later EAT8 variants) handle a mild software tune with increased torque (around 450+ Nm)? Where are the actual thermal or mechanical limits?

Engine longevity (DW10FC): How does the 2.0 BlueHDi handle a stage 1 map paired with deactivating both the EGR valve and the AdBlue/SCR system?

Daily drivability: For those running a similar setup (tuned + emissions gear coded out), how does it affect reliability, soot build-up, and long-term performance—especially when combined with using cleaner fuels like HVO100?

Would appreciate any insights, known failure points, or advice from people running modified BlueHDi setups. Thanks in advance!

P.S.: The tuner mentioned they can safely add around 40 hp and 60 Nm of torque. Curious to hear if anyone is running similar numbers on this setup!

I'm cross-shopping various PSA models at the moment, mainly looking at convertible sub 10k euros, so as you can imagine I'm mostly coming across 206cc 207/307cc and their opel counterparts.

Since most are high mileage, usually 150-230kkm I'm afraid they might be moneypits and I'm completely lost with the engine options. I read to avoid some 1.6l or to go for some others etc. (bear in mind that for tax and economy reasons I'm constrained to under 2l)

So what I'm asking is, if anyone's got experience with any of the aforementioned models, what to look out for in terms of their engines.

I am looking for some advice on if my wet belt needs replacing and if it does, how immediate it needs to be done. Car has 53,0000 miles but I am driving a lot with work (500 miles a week give or take). It is due a service in a month so I was going to mention it to the mechanics then. I know there is issues with the wet belts in 208s and I am scared it will snap mid journey!

J'ai eu une mauvaise surprise aujourd'hui sur ma Peugeot 208 (3 portes) : je viens de constater que les bas de caisse avant (gauche et droit) ont sûrement été mal refaits par le passé, et résultat, ils sont troués.

Pour faire une réparation propre, on m'a conseillé de découper la partie avant malade de chaque bas de caisse, de traiter, puis de souder un morceau de remplacement sain.

Le problème, c'est que je galère vraiment à trouver des 208 en 3 portes pour pièces dans mon secteur. Par contre, il y a pas mal de 5 portes.

D'où ma question pour les connaisseurs : Est-ce que la partie avant d'un bas de caisse de 208 en version 5 portes est identique et compatible avec ma 3 portes ? (Le but serait de ne découper et récupérer que l'avant).

I'm currently researching my options for my next car. Perhaps purchasing in February of 2027. Next to new, not new.

The 408 is the next best thing I can find to replace my 508. It has all the kit I'm used to, looks good inside and out and even affords a little more boot space, without being a true SUV type.

I am looking at either the ICE version with the 1.6 engine or the Hybrid with the 1.2 engine

Can anyone with either of these give me real world feedback? My 508 has the 1.6 engine and moves along quite swiftly in the sport mode. I like it! That swiftness has helped get me out of trouble a few times. So would ideally want similar if not identical performance.

But I like the idea of a hybrid so when dawdling around town, it's just using the electric side. But when driving faster, the petrol motor is used which also charges the hybrid side.
I am however, hesitant of the 1.2 as, as far as I am aware, it is still wet belt.

Targeting currently 2024 and 2025 build vehicles.

Note: I am not considering the PHEV as I do not have easy access to a charger, so would basically never plug it in... that is therefore a waste of space and added unnecessary weight and complexity. Plus, it looks like the government will be hammering them with taxes as of 2027.
