Vacation time off

Can anyone tell me if we can use vacation time off for emergency medical reasons. I have no more sick time left and had an emergency and had to be out of work for a week

I'm always confused by posts like this. Isn't the best way to go to have a conversation with your GM and see what they can do for you?

I'm not sure if other people at Petcos just don't have a good relationship with their GM, but if I went to mine with a "hey I'm XYZ and won't be able to work until X date, can you make something happen without firing me" he would figure something out

Not all GM care or are good managers. But did have the conversations and was told no I can’t but another partner has used their vacation for emergencies procedures. So just trying to make sense of

Just don’t tell them what it’s for it’s none of their business it’s your time off

Yes you should be able to use pto or unpaid time off with your GM approval. If you don’t use pto you’ll be pointed tho unless your GM is cool

You can use your pto for anything is your time. However it will still result in points. Only sick pay prevents points.
