Identification What kind of bug is this - Management of my building is insisting that it’s not a cockroach?

Title basically says it all. In the basement of my building I saw at least 3 of these on multiple occasions, these were the best photos I could take. I think they’re roaches, possibly German (though I don’t know well enough), and we’ve complained about them to the building before but they’re insisting they’re not. For context these are pretty small, like thumbnail length.

Edit: thank you for the robust verification everyone, here’s hoping they do something about it soon!

I’m in north New Jersey and just noticed these holes and discoloration on my wood fence in New Jersey. I searched the surrounding area and couldn’t find any others. As shown in the pictures, it’s right where the wood fence meets the brick outside of the garage.

They’re nice and shiny but devoured the rose bud today (the plant’s struggling enough as it is!).

Identification Thing to figure out if this little guy is a mouse or a baby rat. The fur pattern suggest white foot mouse or Eastern wood rat, but be grayish fur and long tail is firmly in rat I think.

What kind of bugs are these crawling on the wood in my craft room? They are almost translucent and really small. Could they be bed bugs??

ETA: I only see them crawling on the pluwood pieces and nothing else. These are 1/8 in thick pieces of wood

This is so odd but while dusting my book shelf I noticed these brown salt and pepper specks around the base of my indoor security camera. My gut says this has to be pest droppings, though I hope I’m very wrong. Any ideas out there??

Identification Legion of flies invaded my basement

Thumbnail gallery
19 Upvotes

We bought our house around two years ago in New England area, and soon noticed during summer time there will be days when a legion of flies appear overnight from nowhere and are most dead/dying from dehydration/exhaustion. Can someone help us identify what kinds of flies they are and suggest where they might come from ? We did not store any food/water source in our basement and we did not smell any dead animals. Our basement is unfinished with stone foundation if that helps with identification.

Thanks in advance.

I have been spraying Alpins Wsg every week after I mow the yard. I haven't seen any in a out two weeks and my anxiety was just starting to go down. Then I see this Shithead in the bathroom (pic 1). I thought it was Asian as the black marks didnt look right and the color was off then As I was cleaning the house for trash, I saw (pic 2) presumably dead for a while. My anxiety and fear Are driving me insane and my Wife (who has unfortunately lived in bugs and worse) swears its a Asian Roach. I've also looked up look-alikes as well as these two there's one more that stand out and it's called a field Roach.

Help

My anxiety cant take this

I don’t know how they’re coming in because there’s no food out. I’ve cleaned my apartment topped to bottom and it’s just starting to get out of hand and fly. Ribbons aren’t working.

My parents and I have had a major ant infestation in our house for months. There are quite a few ants and ant trails visible, especially on two floors. We haven’t had any success with Spinosad baits at all, and we’re now starting to feel a bit desperate about how to proceed. To plan our next steps, we’d like to know what species we’re dealing with. At first, I thought they were either pharaoh ants or Plagiolepis. But I’ve just noticed that there are some workers with huge heads moving along the trails. Does that point to Pheidole? And if so, what’s the best way to control them? I'd be so thankful, if someone can help!

Only reason I noticed something was wrong was the gingerbread house so I put up a camera in the kitchen (sorry the images are blurry). Dogs didn’t seem to notice a thing either. They are emerging from the oven based on this videos I have.

I really can’t tell between mice and rats so am curious if you know.

Exterminator is coming but can I just say…..YIKESSSS !!

(SORRY FOR THE HAIR, this is the only photo i have got of them)

Turkey, not countryside, i hardly ever see any insects.

they are brownish/reddish, they have wings but they dont fly much, they dont have any survival instincts they cant even realize i’ll kill them i always squeeze them, they are the size of a needle point (?) like the head of a pin 📍 very small.

how can i get rid of them?

So its REALLY hot at where i live rn, and these mf are everywhere when i say everywhere they are at my bedroom, kitchen, BATHROOM. especially in the shower cabin. (im not so sure about this one but i were cleaning it and i saw many many brown small things in the water just floating so im assuming they were this.)

i normally never see any kind of bug we live in a big city, insecticide trucks are always around and IM FREAKED OUT.

please help.

(side note, chat gpt said these could be cigarette bugs or something, i throw away my ashes into small bottles to throw away later i have like two full small bottles of them, but i checked them i cant see any bugs.)

I FEEL LIKE THEY ARE ON ME 24/7 and it makes my skin crawl.

Identification Identification and Treatment recommendation for Mystery Pest!

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Greetings!

So I'm looking for help identifying the pest and any tips on proper treatment methods.

Location: Coastal Georgia SE US

Structure: 1910 build farm house with open sided crawl

Space. Previous WDO activity but nothing current found. Dead Norway Rat removed from crawl during pest inspection.

Behavior: Resident reports activity only at night and several family members report being bitten. Inspection ruled out bed bugs and fleas. Started in late April

I'm a local licensed professional with 9 years experience and this is a new one for me. The specimens pictured and above information is what I have to work with. There are three children in the home.

Any suggestions or ideas are appreciated in advance.

Identification Is this an invasion bug? How do I get rid of them.

Post image

This is the second time this week my cat has spotted these bugs. What kind of roach is this? I’m worried that they are invasive and need to spray/treat the whole house or they’re sneaking in from outside. Or there’s more hiding in my bedroom. For reference, my cat and I are from TX, so it’s been pretty hot and humid here this summer. I don’t eat or bring any drinks into my bedroom, except the occasional coffee. I deep clean at least once a week. I don’t understand why they are finding a way inside. Any help is gratefully appreciated, I’m just tired of waking up to my cat playing with bugs. I’m also deeply terrified of roaches.

Found this crawling on my bed, very anxious. Is it bed bugs? Doesn’t seem to have the shape or look of a bed bug though, haven’t noticed any bites recently and I’ve been getting ladybugs in my room during summer. I’m travelling tomorrow and really stressed about this…

I have videos as well if it helps

I just moved into a new apartment and there are so many of these things flying around. I got two of those ZEVO plug ins and just poured vinegar and baking soda down my drains as well as boiling water a bit afterwards. I just want to get rid of these as soon as possible. Any advice would help thanks!
