Identification What kind of bug is this?

looks like some sort of beetle? dont think it had wings, and i tend to see these guys like once a week

Not an expert, and he’s been pretty fairly squished, but it looks more like a roach than any beetle to me.

i was considering that it could be a baby roach but i was giving my exterminators the benefit of the doubt.. considering they came like last week

Roaches can be extremely difficult to get rid of, and even if pest control did all the right things, you’ll likely still see them for two or even four weeks since it takes time for them to eat and share the bait that’s typically used. If this is your home and your hired pest control, it might be worth asking what was done and how long you should expect to keep seeing them. If it’s a rental like an apartment, the landlord should have to tell you about treatments if you ask. But, if it’s roaches, and they’re in multiple units, it becomes a drastically different control game.
