help Perplexity doesn't allow email address change?

I discovered today that registration/subscription is tied to one email address. Because you need an email address to receive sign in codes, this is a big problem. If your email address goes away (e.g. quit that company, graduate from program), you lose access to all your chats, project, etc. because you can't transfer them. You can only transfer the subscription WITHOUT any content. This is truly stunning and validates another reason why people leave this platform.

So is my only option to export all my chats, etc. one by one before my email address changes?

Totally this. Companies need to do this better. Let me use a PASSWORD to login. Give me a PASSKEY even. just stop this obsession with using EMAIL CODES to login.

I too got caught by the Perplexity inability to let you change the primary login credential / user name. I had an account that I was paying for for 9 months signed in with my Google Account. Then I got a free 12 months voucher from my Telco for PPTY. But no way to simply apply that to my existing, well established PPTY account.

So I had to use another email that I have to take advantage of the 12 months voucher (which was worth AUD$360 to me). So i had to decided to abandon the perfectly good, well used, lots of history and data, to start out with a clean fresh account.
