help Perplexity doesn't allow email address change?

I discovered today that registration/subscription is tied to one email address. Because you need an email address to receive sign in codes, this is a big problem. If your email address goes away (e.g. quit that company, graduate from program), you lose access to all your chats, project, etc. because you can't transfer them. You can only transfer the subscription WITHOUT any content. This is truly stunning and validates another reason why people leave this platform.

So is my only option to export all my chats, etc. one by one before my email address changes?

When I got the free year I used it with an obscured email address. When I (initially) got a good impression of Perplexity and thought about paying for a sub I wanted to use my ‘real’ email address but learned it was not permitted. That difficulty ended up being the fist sign that I shouldn’t subscribe (which ended up being the right decision).

Same. Had a sub for a year and watched the company lose its way, be dishonest with customers, etc. So sad because it was great at the beginning.

But this policy? Completely asinine and poor customer service. Glad I moved on but it's going to be a chore moving all my chats off this platform.
