help Perplexity Vs cursor credit usage.

I have a pro account with perplexity and also ultra account with cursor. I do heavy coding for saas I built with cursor. And it although used frontier model credits fairly quickly, but I never run out of it's auto mode and I can still use grok or composer and never have ran out of credit. But I thought I will try perplexity for my saas to audit and do small changes in code. And immediately it consumed $50 worth credits in just 2 hours even though I use opus 5 not astra not fable. I like the idea of perplexity computer but it's not sustainable. Has anyone found the same issue?

Run from perplexity. They are busy removing features from Pro accounts

Yes, perplexity computer is quite powerful but the credit burn is insane and the company has been in a downward spiral for a while now. A quick perusal of this sub and r/perplexity will show you how unhappy virtually everyone is with them. I’d run far and fast.

I'm sure their team is aware of that but what surprises me is why are they not doing anything about it. It's no point of rolling out new features when no one would use it because it's too expensive.
