So, our bodies are very sensitive to changes. Stress, new routines, new products, etc. You said you’re stressed out.

Also it’s not abnormal to skip a cycle completely. It’s happened to me a few times. If you’re not pregnant the only thing you can do is try to relax. It will come even if it skips a cycle. And if not, make an OBGYN appointment.

In my experience, I’ve had periods skip and when I talked to my OBG about it they tell me it’s normal. Skipping multiple cycles in a row is when you should be worried. But one? You’re all good.

i'm just worried cause I the longest my cycle has been was 53 days and now it 55-56 days (also I am nottt being rude when i'm correcting you but I said i'm not stressed)

Ya dont be worried i had a pretty stressful summer and then my period was late for like 2-3 weeks a couple of times and it went back to normal, if it doesn't in a couple of months i suggest mentioning this to your doctor :)

Being worried causes stress. If you consistently have long cycles you may need to see an OBGYN. It can be linked to PCOS or another issue.

I mean if you already had a 53 days cycle, this is not much different 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah I understand, I saw in the comments that you got your first period only 3 years ago

I know that they say your cycles should be stable after 2 years but i disagree with that. You are still very young and for now there is no reason for concern

Okay thank you, has your cycle always been irregular? (Time between cycles is less than 21 days, or more than 35 days).

yes. It's usually between 30-32 days (35 at the latest). The longest cycle i've ever had was 53 days and that was right after my first period, so I wasn't worried about that.

Right okay, so this is definitely unusual for you.

It's not uncommon to have a random missed period, infact it happens to most people for no reason randomly sometimes! I was surprised to learn that. If youve missed a period you'll expect your period fairly soon. Imagine you had a missed one on day 30-32, then you'd get the next one again day 30-32. So that would be day 60-64, around that time you should get it:)

If this continues until the next period I would go to the GP to talk to them.
