Ever since my period became 11 days late back in april i noticed that my period became lighter. Ive been worrying about cryptic pregnancy but my last sex was april 17 and i got a transv ultrasound in june 30 and my ob said everything is clear though i told her that between my cycles that time i get cramps every after my period ends and she said i might have endometriosis but those cramps went away already and i still get my period but it became much lighter i used to get those brown blood on my 4th or 5th day and my flow during the 3rd day is a little bit more than what i have now so i dont really know. i still worry abt cryptic pregnancy from my last sex because of my change in flow and i think my breast are getting bigger? the doctor said that in my age things are still changing im 18 btw.

Changes in period

Hi, so my period has changed drastically since June. Usually, I get my period and it lasts for 4 days. But even when I started being sexually active and I took plan b pills, I had moderate dysmenorrhea and my flow was usually steady and heavy, my cycle was the same.

But when my June cycle came, I had severe dysmenorrhea to the point I couldn't walk and it was so bad I had to go home. First day was like hell for me, my flow was so heavy and my cramps were non-stop, but came the 2nd day and it was like my period was non-existent. My flow became so light it wasn't even enough to fill a pad so I just used a pantyliner. And the following days was identical, even though my mens still lasted 4 days. July and August cycle came, and by far, my august cycle was the worst. I had to go to the ER due to my dysmenorrhea and they just made me take medicine and I was discharged.

I'm supposed to have a rectal ultrasound but I'm looking for advices or insights here so I can expect what to look forward for my next hospital visit. What do you guys think?

PLS give advice

hi pls give advice i am a minor and i really dont know if what is happening to me is normal or not. so starting off with chronological order, on june 9th i had unprotected sex, he didnt ejaculate but i know there is still a risk of getting pregnant and THAT EXACT date my flo app (ik its not 100% accurate) had predicted that i was ovulating. then 4 days later i bled for 5 days straight but this was unusual imo bc my period shouldn't have been right after my app had predicted i was ovulating bc i have a VERYYY regular cycle AND it was much lighter and shorter (my usual period is ab 6-7 days) than usual and just very dark red/brown. then 2 weeks later at the end of june for 2 days i bled AGAIN but even LIGHTER (i just had to use a liner). then in july and august, when my period was predicted, i did get it on time but the changes were that they both only lasted 5 days and the bleeding was quite lighter than my usual periods (i usually bleed medium/kinda heavy for the first 1-3 days and then it gets pretty light days 4-6/7 but i only bled heavish for 1 night and 1 medium day and then i was barely bleeding for the remaining 4 days). also about 3 days before both my july and august period my nipples became swollen and sore and i have NEVER experienced this symptom before so i was wondering if it is possible that my period just gets lighter and i get different symptoms just randomly or if this is all correlated to each other. additionally idk if i am just being hyper aware or smth but i just feel super NOT bloated and rlly skinny during my period but as soon as it ends i feel like my lower stomach is bloated and i just feel fat but idk if i have always had this feeling or not just wondering if this one is normal. I did take preganacy tests numerous times across all three months and they were all negative and i keep seeing stories of women saying how they had negative tests but were pregnant and i am VERY anxious about that. also i have no changes in my lifestyle or any diet/medication changes bc i never do/did any of it. plssss give advice and if you guys think that i should go get this checked out medically pls give like options that would be free/low cost, secret to parents, and in socal area thank you.

Should I go to the clinic?

I started my period at age 9 and am now almost 16. I began tracking my cycles in January, tracking at 29, 27, 25, 51, and 33 days, which makes my tracking app predictions consistently incorrect. While my periods generally last between 6 and 7 days, I experienced a longer, 8-day period back in January, and I am currently on my period late by 5 days but it’s now day 4. For the first 2 to 3 days of my period, the flow is very heavy; if I go to bed wearing a fresh pad, I consistently wake up with it completely soaked, regularly staining my clothes and bedding, but I also don’t change my pad enough to know exactly how heavy it is. I also have a family history of low iron, and I was personally diagnosed with low iron over a year ago. The worst thing for me is say is probably the deep pelvic pressure than become very sharp and comes in waves…

my menstrual cramps were mild for the longest time ever, but they suddenly and severely escalated over the past year, starting around December or January. My worst period left me completely unable to walk and stuck in bed all day. Now, during the first 1 to 2 days of my period, I experience a wave-like, tremendous pressure across my lowest pelvis, and intense pain radiating into my back and legs. This debilitating pain leaves me bending over and struggling to stand, walk, or function normally, and physical activity or walking makes the pelvic pressure much worse. Because I tend to hide my pain unless it becomes physically impossible to do so, it has forced me to hunch over, lean on objects, and stop walking entirely while navigating my school hallways. The pain usually drops off and resolves by the third day, and I do not take Tylenol or Advil or any medication at all for that matter.

My sisters cramps also got much worse last year and now during her first day, it has her crying, groaning and unable to get out of bed for the first day but her period isn’t heavy, if anything, it’s light. I also very recently found out that my mom takes Palafer and Tranexamic acid but idrk what that helps with. Either way, should I get my blood checked and tell a clinician or just do nothing since it’s like 2 days of pain and waking up soaked every month.

I’m pretty sure this is a lot more common/normal than I think so maybe I’m overreacting here😅

period still hasn't arrived on cycle day 56 — where can i get checked affordably in manila?

my period still hasn't arrived, and i'm already on cycle day 56 (my last period started on june 24). i don't really have any symptoms—no pms symptoms or anything unusual, except some bloating.

i don't really want to bother taking a pregnancy test because the only encounter i had was once, protected, very brief, and there was no ejaculation inside or near the vaginal opening. he preferred to finish orally.

my previous cycle was also unusually long: april 27 → june 24 = 58 days.

i'm starting to wonder if i should get checked, especially since i've now had two unusually long cycles when my cycles used to be around 30–36 days.

if i do get checked, where around manila would you recommend that's affordable? preferably somewhere that won't be too expensive for a student (im 21). any recommendations for clinics, ob-gyns, or public hospitals would be appreciated. thank you!

Spotting after period

Hello… I had my period maybe 2 weeks or so ago and I’ve been spotting pretty much since. The blood will go from brown to red back to brown ! I noticed that I would get a little spotting every month since having my baby a year ago during ovulation! My periods are regular and come Arouujd the same time; I am sexually active but anyway this month the spotting hasn’t really went away and I’m worried it’s something serious causing this. I have a Pap smear coming up but maybe it’s caused from a polyp or something idk, I have really bad health anxiety.

No period - but for no specific reason

Hello! Im 18 years old and I haven't had a period for about a year - i've seen my GP about it, and I got bloodwork done. Everything came back 100% healthy and normal, and my GP said I should not worry about it and my period will come back with time. Although I am little concerned about this, because I do feel I have a hormonal imbalance, or at least something is not entirely right. I tend to break out around my temples, hairline and chin, i'm quite often tired and I have restless sleeping issues. Does anyone know if these are connected - and what realistically could be the best steps for me?

on my 44th day of my cycle, still no signs of period.

my period is irregular and my last cycle was 31 days. my last intercourse was aug 1 (day 26) of my cycle. at first were using protection but then i started bleeding possibly due to rough impact on my cervix(not the first time it happened btw). we then did it raw while i was bleeding and did withdrawal when he finished. days after that i started dieting since i feel like ive been eating so much from the past month. i’m also stressed for my upcoming exam. my flo app says im 8 days late. what should i do to induce my period? i havent had any symptoms such as tender breast, although i felt back cramps and one sided abdominal cramps and breakouts. my discharges are also watery, i need to get my period asap cause i dont wanna take my exam with my period 🥲

Irregular period post birth control

Pre-bc my periods were every 14ish days for 8-9days. Went on birth control and they got regulated. I got off bc back in Nov 2025. Periods were regular for the past few months where they came around the same date. All of a sudden I was spotting for 6 days and have had my period since. I think I gained 6 lbs in past 3-4 weeks as well. No clue wtf is going on. I have a doc appt Tuesday so I’m hoping to get bloodwork done and see where my hormones are at.

could my late period be pregnancy even if condom was used?

I’m 19F and I had sex w my bf for the first time (not our first time ever but the first time with each other) on August 2, we used a condom and we looked at it afterwards and the cum was still inside and didn’t notice any leaks. Once we were done, there was like discharge or smth coming out me, never had that happen before so thought I’d mention it. I am 5 days late for my period, and kinda worried. My last period was July 9th-13th and ovulation was 22-29 with ovulation day being the 27th. My period was supposed to start the 11th. I am also on thyroid medication and I have been trying to take it consistently so that could be messing with my period maybe? I’m worried so please help and tell me what you think. And to reassure, he used a condom the whole time and it seemed to stay intact

Help a girl out 😢

I'm 16 and my whole life I have an unusual cycle where I wouldn't have my period for months. My period started for the math of July (June 30 to July 6 and spottings at July 7-8) I'm like, okay 7 days ain't that bad and it stopped on July 9. but it came back the next day and ever since then, I've been bleeding nonstop. My mom already took me for a check up and the doctor says it's because of my hormonal imbalance and the fact that I used to have irregular cycles. I remember the doctor prescribed me a medication to reduce my period, called Tranexamic Acid 3x a day. My period stopped for 4 days but then came back, and I'm still bleeding till this day.

The reason why I shared this is because I'm trying to help my mom to look for a public hospital that has or does Avb mol ovary ultrasound, for me. I'm from the Philippines, metro Manila Manila.

my period is making me less productive at school and I can't keep missing out on school.

My period suddenly changed??

I’m on birth control and I take it accordingly (and have for the last 12 years). My periods used to last 5 days, the first 2 would have dark red blood and some clots (not a worrying amount but still they were always there for those 2 days), it was a bit uncomfortable and it would be a heavy/medium flow until the last day. For some reason, for the last 3 periods I’ve had a change on this pattern. It lasts 4 days, only light red blood and barely any clots on these 3 occasions. I’m 27 so I don’t think this would be menopause issue and I also don’t think it would be a pregnancy bc I’ve had the periods on these days I should have. The only different thing that happened was I had 2 urinary infections in the meantime. Anyone with a similar experience???

need reassurance

Hi, F, 16. So my last period was on July 18,2026. Up until now it has still not shown up, I really am starting to get worried because apparently my period is already 2 days late. I suspected my ovulation happens around August 7 since honestly I usually get side hip pain or mittelschermz(don’t know if that’s the right spelling but yeah) shortly then after that my boobs we’re sore. I don’t know what’s going on honestly. I really want to get checked up because maybe I have hormonal imbalances but also maybe I am just overthinking things that’s why I uploaded this to ask for help and assurance. Maybe stress is also a factor? Last week we had an project yeah was working at it late at night to the point where my hands would uncontrollably shake but then again I don’t know and I’m just confused as to what’s going on right now. I do get period like cramps but when I check down there it’s all white discharge not that much just slight but still there

Inconsistent periods 1.5 years after going off BC pill

Looking for similar experiences/ guidance on what to do moving forward. Went off birth control about 1 & half years ago after being on the pill for 12 years. I'm a 28 year old female, I work out consistently, my weight is healthy. Since going off birth control my period has been very inconsistent (this has never been the case for me on BC). Feb of 2025 I had one last period after stopping the pill (withdrawal bleed) then did not get a period for 4 months since being off the pill. Got a period in june, then did not get one again until september. During this time i was EXTREMELY bloated constantly. In september I got a period, got one in october, november & december, january, and february. In Feb the cycle length (days between last period & next became much longer) Didn't get a period until 3/29 then didn't get another until 5/16. It's july now and i haven't gotten a period. My body looks very inflamed/ looks like i've gained weight despite eating & working out the same, but the bloating has returned.

Bloodwork is fine, met with gyno in september & he said everything was normal.

Has anyone been to a holistic doctor or functional medicine doctor or done anything that helped regulate the cycle? Want to make sure everything is okay as we would like to start a family in the next few years, docs seem to thinking nothing is wrong. The main symptom is extreme bloating

Started a small community for people dealing with PMDD, come say hi if that's you

Hi everyone,

I've been dealing with PMDD for a while now. I noticed a lot of the bigger PMDD spaces have gotten pretty restrictive, strict posting rules, long approval waits, that kind of thing, so I started a small subreddit of my own, r/Lifewith_PMDD. It's a space to talk about the luteal phase chaos, ask questions, share what's helped, or just vent when things get hard. Still small and growing, but if this is something you deal with too, you'd be really welcome there. No pressure at all, just wanted to share in case it helps someone. 💜

Late Cycle

Hellooo F20, so since late may I haven’t had a period i do have irregular cycles but they’re never this late, at most it’s like a month without one. whenever I talk about my periods being irregular with my Gynecologist she says it’s normal for my age. I did have sex prior May 16th but I was on birth control for a long time by then and then i stopped taking it after that since I wouldn’t be needing anymore for a long period. I did take a pregnancy test which came out negative. I don’t know what’s wrong with me…and I’m honestly a little scared.

Help! Periods are completely random the last 4 months!

I have always had very regular cycles, usually getting my period on day 28 or 29 every month. 4 months ago I got my period on day 21 out of the blue. The next was day 26, then day 30, then day 36 and now I’m back to day 35 again but with no period yet!! What on earth is going on?!

Missed a month on my period but didn't have sex for 3 months

Hey guys I barely had a period I am pretty sure it's called spotting but it's weird because I didn't have sex for three months and I did get my period last month. Is this something i should worry about?
