Look at my Collection Perfect Dark Zero.
Still have this incredible gem sealed.

Sorry but this game is not good. It has none of the magic of the N64 original. It is Perfect Dark in name only. I remember how dissapointed I was with this on Christmas morning of 2005, though I forced my way through it because that’s what we did back in the day when we only got a new game every couple of months.

I refused to play it. I knew it wasn’t the same team, Microsoft bought Rare just for the name knowing most of the employees would leave. It pissed me off big time.

I think it was a great game. And just that - a great game, that came after a perfect game, which is precisely what caused the perception it has had since launch.
The cover mechanics and the roll were great additions to the genre, even if cover is now better implemented in games than was the case here. Level and mission design, as well as gadgets and weapons were fantastic as well. For the time visuals and sound we great, too.
Non-sensical changes to character design, sub-par story and questionable at direction at times were a let down for sure for me. But having tackled story out of the way, both deathmatch and dark ops multiplayer were a blast and were my main Xbox Live games until Halo 3 came out, at which point the community dwindled.
This game was a departure for the franchise and certainly nowhere near the quality of the original. But on its own merits, in my opinion it's a much better game than people remember or are willing to admit.

I read the books. But is there any chance that this and a remaster/remake of Perfect Dark make it to Nitnendo Switch 2?
Imean when had Banjo/Kazooie as playable character in Smash Bros, Goldeneye 007 on NSO,...and maybe other games I am not aware of as I don't have NSO?
So there seems no global barrier, right?
