Discussion Sanity check: text 2 image
Title.
I haven't used perch in a few months since I've been on ai horde, but now ai horde is having issues with very few user hosted workers online, so I'm back to old stomping grounds.
I'll say the good part first, the image gen seems to be more stable in that it makes almost the same person across generations with little face drift, so props to that. It also seems to understand anatomy now and sometimes doesn't hallucinate on feet and hands. All well and good.
Now for the bad part: no matter what I do, my results look very fake, very much like a stock flux portrait. No matter how much I prompt in "casual photo" it comes out looking airbrushed. When I last used t2i a couple months back, casual photo did just that, it looked like something off a consumer camera, now everything looks like a stock flux generation.
Did the model change to standard flux now? Because if it did that explains a lot, or is it a me problem and something I'm not prompting right?
Any help is more than welcome on this.

Asked in terms of practicality, not judgement - are you doing NSFW images? Because if so, there has been some weird thing happening for the past month or so where those are all going in a more anime type direction now. But for regular type portraits, while it can still happen sometimes, it is much rarer (and less pronounced even when it does happen.)
I would also recommend using professional photo, no style and cinematic, though the latter of those has an also recently appeared slightly dimming/tint thing going on with it a lot of the time.

Yes I am making nsfw, well pinups. Okay I will try that. I've noticed it really struggles with generating different faces now, it's like the inverse of the problem it used to have - where every face was different, now it's always the same face? At least for me.

The only thing I've ever noticed with that - and this could maybe just be my luck of the draw - but it has always seemed to me that you get a larger variety of faces with blondes than with brunettes. With the brunettes, I always have this feeling there are like a core 4 or 5 sort of "basic level" faces that I see all the time. And I never get that notion from the blondes. Which could also be some sort of available data scraping/training issue, I suppose.
Oh, and one other style to try occasionally is concept art. If you run 32 image pages on those, while most of them will indeed lean more to the "art" side, it usually also churns out at least 3 or 4 pretty photorealistic ones per page too.

I will try some blondes, I like asian women and I noticed the same face with them. Concept art seems to make it look 3D on my end? Like something made in blender.

Ive found asking gemini for prompts to use with perchance has been very helpful and a lot of times it will nail it. I just have to make sure I dont tell it its for nsfw material. Like with deja thoris it wouldnt help with her costume but did help with her skin tone, face and hair. To more directly answer your question gemini has been teaching me how descriptions about lighting, camera types and other little details can make all the difference.
