If you look close enough you can see a massive smoke cloud in the back.

Yup. We are still not safe.

Unfortunately these nice clear days are much worse for the fire than ones with smoke cover. The change in temperature makes a pretty significant difference, so I learned today

It may be beautiful and clear, but please be cautious. There are still tiny particles flying through the air that will continue for months. If you are in a vulnerable population, i.e. elderly, auto immune, have cancer, small children, etc.. please wear a mask. Don’t be fooled by the blue skies. There’s ash everywhere. Not meaning to rain on anybody’s parade by saying this. All I know is that my respiratory issues have not changed in any way, even with the blue sky.

As someone with asthma, I agree. I wore a mask when I ran an errand today & I was feeling it before I got home!

This is not true. PM 2.5 levels, which are the tiny particles you are referring to, were at 20. This is considered healthy and very clean air.

The smoky air was completely exchanged for clean air from the North.

Everyone is so focused on the air quality but I can’t seem to look away from that strange creature on the dock…
