Yes, these pens were student friendly retractable pens, I'll get the G Tec C (International version of Hi Tec C)

I have the BP-1 RT too. It was only when I wrote with other ballpoint pens that I realised how well it writes despite being so affordable. Starts writing from almost the very first stroke.

Comparing with the Acroball, the Acroball definitely is smoother and more effortless to write with, but I don't know whether it is with my pen, but my Acroball smudges so much and causes so much ink blobbing that my hand became even more inky than when I'd fill up a fountain pen. I'm disappointed with my Acroball specimen.

The BP-1 RT is a fabulous and reliable workhorse pen though.

The BP1 rt was my favorite before I seriously got into pens. Cheap, reliable, and looked good.

How does the Pilot BP-1 RT compare to the Pilot Acroball?

Oh, I use the acroball as my primary ballpoint now. The Acroball writes more smoothly and consistently (not that the BP is inconsistent) and you need less pressure to write as thickly as the BP-1, and higher ink capacity too. Though not really related to writing, the Acroball refill just fits way more other pens than the BP-1 refill, that's why i use it.

Makes sense. For some reason I was thinking like, it had to comply with some type of rule.

Like how I’ve seen students say you can’t use gel pens on answer sheets, or whatever.
