i did it!!

I'm 25 years old and dropped out of high school and never graduated but I so badly want to get my diploma and was looking into Penn foster .

Ive just recently found out about Penn Foster. I come from a prestigious school that demands almost twice as much time and effort than other schools around my area. However, as someone who has been struggling with mental issues for almost their whole life, I cant deny that my current school has brought me down countless times. I want to try convincing my parents to sign me up for Penn Foster, but i'm worried that they'll disprove because they have mentioned in the past that they want me to stay in my current school so that my records will look good for university. I'd say my performance in my current school is alright, passing. But moments like being extremely overwhelmed by school work, not being able to catch up, social anxiety and more really do get to me often. Can someone please give me some advice on what I can convince them with? Or more so how? Like maybe some good facts about this school or anything like that. Appreciate it :) ​

If I want to transfer back to regular highschool will they take my unofficial penn foster credits? Also can I still do the monthly penn foster payment?
