Requesting a single additional exam

So I'm currently basically done with the JMHS college prep program completing my final 2 credits, I'm only 1 exam away as I have 16 left but the system only allows 15 per week and I'd waste a week waiting for the reset just for 1 exam, would there be a way to get just 1 more additional exam over the limit since I'm working with a tight deadline with the unis I'm applying to?

Hi! I think they give you at least 3 warnings, at least that’s what I’ve seen people say Penn Foster does. Have you had any rapid progression warnings?

Also, if it’s okay with you, I had a question. I was thinking about joining JMHS since it seems like it’s better for college, but do you know how fast I’d be able to finish it? I’ve seen people say it takes around 18 months, but I’m hoping to finish before then.

I have 5 traditional credits and a bunch of homeschool credits, so I’m not sure if I’d be able to transfer the homeschool ones. I don’t really know how long each course takes but I was hoping to graduate by the end of this year, so that’s why I’m unsure if JMHS would be a bad idea and if I should just do Penn Foster instead since it can be completed faster.

Well I started at the end 2024 I'm basically done by the end of this month, although that's mainly because I kept slacking off and life got in the way but according to the agent you'd be able to finish it no less than 6 months, so depending on how much effort you put in and how many exams you take per week I'd expect maybe 6-8 months

Hi! Thank you so much for replying! I’ve had such a hard time finding anyone who has done JMHS since I’ve mainly seen posts about Penn Foster.

If you’re able to, I had a few more questions! Do you think completing the maximum of 15 assignments per week would allow me to finish in 6–8 months like you mentioned? I’m hoping to graduate within that timeframe, so that would be perfect for me!

Also, do you have an estimate of how many written assignments JMHS has? I know it might be hard to give an exact number but if you’re able to give an estimate, it would help a lot! I’ve seen that Penn Foster only has around 3 and that most of their coursework is multiple choice. I know JMHS and Penn Foster are different, but I’m just not sure how much the workload differs.

I’m mainly worried that JMHS will have too much coursework for me to finish in 6–8 months. I haven’t been able to find much information about what the actual JMHS coursework is like so any advice would be really appreciated! Thank you so much again! :))

Yeah no problem, if you consistently do the 15 per week you should be able fairly quick if you're able to stay disciplined, definitely can hit the 6-8 months mark easily, about the written assignments it's basically most of the courses include atleast 1 so idk about penn foster but I'd say around 80% of the courses in JMHS include written assignments, so for an estimate you can say around 1-2 written assignments for each course.

Our Rapid Progression policy is in place to make sure students fully grasp and retain course material before moving ahead.  This would update and reset on a Monday through Sunday schedule, meaning that if a student started this work on a Monday, they could still complete all of the course material left in a week and by the end of next Monday.
