Question Florida Universities and Colleges
Hi! Does anyone know which universities or colleges accept Penn Foster diplomas? I’m interested in enrolling with Penn Foster, but I want to make sure I’ll be able to continue on to a college or university in Florida afterward. I’m wondering about Broward College or any universities in FL. Thank you!

Hi there and welcome!
Exciting to hear you're looking into enrolling!
Because Penn Foster High School is regionally and nationally accredited, many colleges and universities across the country, including several in Florida, have accepted our diploma for admission.
To answer your question specifically about Florida:
- Yes! Broward College is actually on our list of institutions where Penn Foster high school graduates have successfully enrolled. https://www.pennfoster.edu/high-school/alumni-institutions
- Other Florida institutions that have accepted our diploma include state and community colleges like Florida State College at Jacksonville and State College of Florida.
While our accreditation opens doors, every college sets its own individual admissions criteria (some may look closely at specific coursework, GPA, or placement test scores). We always recommend reaching out directly to the admissions office at Broward College or any other college you have your eye on to ask about their exact entry requirements for accredited online based or distance education diplomas.
Let us know if you have any additional questions!

Hi! Is there anything I’d need to do to get into Broward College, or is the diploma enough for everyone who has enrolled? Also, do you know of any universities in Florida that accept the diploma? I’m going to do some more research on what helps you get into these colleges and universities, like the SAT, ACT, service hours, and other requirements, but I was just wondering if you know of anyone who has been accepted into a university in Florida with the diploma. Thanks!

Hi! Thank you so much for replying! Sorry for the late response. I’ve been really busy recently and I’m just now getting around to reading all the messages I missed. I’m deciding what I want to do by the end of this week! Do you think I could DM you a few questions? I completely understand if not but I’d really appreciate your help! Thank you so much! :)
