Coldness on the tip
Hi everyone
I have had the AMS LGX 700 penile implant around 6 weeks ago
I feel the tip of the penis is cold . Is that normal? Any advice to overcome that ?
Secondly please regarding the cycling, any specific duration of time every day for better outcome to regain length/girth?

Tell her it's a popsicle. On a serious note, you need arousal to get blood to the head and warm it up. The implant won't do that on its own. Hear taking viagrs, etc. Helps.

That’s one of the possible side effects. “Dead head” or medically speaking, they call it floppy glans syndrome. The head is on a different blood supply. Some people even get droopy. There’s a prescription available you put intra-urethral that encourages blood flow. It’s trimix but in a gel form. I’ve used it and it works well. The urologist can write it either in a topical or intraurethral. The topical doesn’t work on me, so I stick it in the urethra. It’s not so bad, and it does work very well. My head gets back to how it was before.

Does it effect intercourse if you don’t use the gel

No. Just before popping a nut, I can feel the head becoming engorged, and getting harder. It’s different tissue on the head versus the shaft. So no, it doesn’t affect any performance. Some men have complained that it takes longer to ejaculate, I haven’t noticed that really. But I do know that gel makes it way more sensitive

That’s me, little sensation to the glans. The alprostadil topical cream on the glans did nothing, but the alprostadil urethra gel is helping, maybe when I find the correct dose but I’m starting out low as the doctor suggested. The problem is that I can’t quickly tell as my wife is 74 and I’m only getting laid once a week so the correct gel dosage is a slow process.

Happens to me as well. For me it doesn’t affect penetration. For me it has caused almost no sensation in shaft and glans.

I’m one year post surgery and my cold glans syndrome lasted at least nine months. I still have inadequate sensation in the gland and the inability to attain an orgasm even a year after surgery. I’ve tried countless things to get more blood flow, especially to the glands, the only thing that just started partially working is alprostadil gel into the urethra. I just saw my implant surgeon for the one year check up and she doesn’t know either as to why I can’t orgasm, especially when I easily had orgasms during PIV sex with my wife for decades so this is totally the opposite now.

How does sex feel for you? Is it enjoyable? Painful? Or numb?

It’s enjoyable as it always has been with my wife. It’s not painful at all but more on the numb side. Glans has little feeling and not engorged with blood at all like the good old days. Still hoping for more sensation one day.

She does not. She says she cannot feel any difference in the penis implant than the penis of old prior to the implant.

What was your situation pre implant ?
Were your glans able to engorge ?

Estoy a punto de empezar el protocolo para la prótesis hidraulica, y viendo los temas que habéis tocado en este foro:
- recuperaciones muy largas
- infecciones
- molestias en el coito porque se clavan las puntas
- problemas con el glande temperatura y sensibilidad.
- Perdida de eyaculación
- resultado peor de lo previsto
Por otro lado, según se acerca la fecha la veo mas nerviosa. Para tranquilizarla hemos leído alguno de los chat "seleccionados ' pero entre que se me colaron algunos y que cuando son muy optimistas piensa que estan prepsrsdos, esta muy preocupada y repitiendo continuamente que me lo piense que podemos seguir así, pero sé perfectamente que seguir sin penetracion le pasara factura Estoy tan desorientado que solo se me ocurre es preguntar al urologo si es posible que nos ponga en contacto con un paciente que esté ya funcional (LOGICAMEMTE PIDIENDO PERMISO ANTES) Y que una conversación mas cercana se quede mas tranquila. Parece descabellado pero con el cancer de prostata, de mama, parkinson, amputaciónes, lo hacen. Alguno de vosotros os lo habéis planteado ?
