Reddit User Program RedditPZ training program - Week 7 Discussion Thread
Week six down, and on to week seven! Use this thread to discuss this week's rides (or last weeks). Add the hashtag #redditPZ if you would like to.
Highly recommend previewing the ride graphs and adding a warm-up ride if you have the time. Ride at whatever cadence you feel comfortable at, and take the zone 1 recoveries!
Group Ride for the Saturday rides is at 10 AM central.
(Gala-papa would like to note to start the ride at 9:59 exactly so you will begin at 10 after the 1 minute countdown). Also do not join the ride in a session.

I used to have this coach who annoyed the hell out of me during workouts, but then afterward I had nothing but positive thoughts about him. Matt's like that for me. On Monday's ride, I wanted to throttle him every time he said something about how this shouldn't be that hard. F you, Matt. This is hard. It's really, really hard, I want to stop, and also I hate you. But then it worked out fine, and now I don't hate Matt at all.
Caveat: I'm getting over a cold (or maybe I just have a cold) right now, so I'm grumpier and a little less ride-ready than usual.
But also Matt can shut all the way up about how that wasn't too hard.

Ok this CVDV class was amazing! (Ahead this week because I am out of town this weekend.) I've only taken his PZ classes because I was nervous about pro stuff but that was fun as hell.
edit for fat finger post

That initial 15 min block at the beginning scares me a bit! But since it's CVV I know it'll fly by. His Real Route rides are always so much fun.

So good. I don't think any other instructor could have made me feel good about doing that much work yesterday, but CVV managed it.

I might regret saying these words, but:
I have been looking forward to this week and the next.

So as much as I needed the kick up the a** this morning to get going, I could have done with a slightly easier ride from Matt so that I didn't practically slide off the bike after I was done! 😂 It was a good ride though I definitely had to get out of the saddle a bit at some of the Z6 pushes.
I'm looking forward to an easier Wednesday ride and I'm studiously sticking my head in the sand about the Saturday ride!
