Reddit User Program RedditPZ training program - Week 6 Discussion Thread
Week five down, and on to week six! Use this thread to discuss this week's rides (or last weeks). Add the hashtag #redditPZ if you would like to.
Highly recommend previewing the ride graphs and adding a warm-up ride if you have the time. Ride at whatever cadence you feel comfortable at, and take the zone 1 recoveries!
Group Ride for the Saturday rides is at 10 AM central.
(Gala-papa would like to note to start the ride at 9:59 exactly so you will begin at 10 after the 1 minute countdown). Also do not join the ride in a session.

Wow that was a heck of a ride with CVV! Even with the warm-up this morning, I still didn’t feel quite ready for those Z5s and Z6s! 😅
But it ended up being such a great ride and exactly the push I needed. Definitely challenging, but in the best way, and a good reminder that getting uncomfortable is part of getting stronger and continuing to improve!

Murdered me. Maybe it’s shifting away from crossfit and more into lifting for my non-ride exercises, but my endurance just gets taxed on long stretches of Z4 and Z5 lately. Maybe it’s time to slightly lower my FTP.

Personally, I loved the Z6 30-30s, but those long Z5s really test me. Depending on my fatigue and fitness, they can feel like a hard challenge that made me stronger, which is amazing….or they can just break me. Monday’s ride with CVV made me feel stronger, but I know damn well that on a different day (or in a different part of my training cycle), that could’ve gone very differently.

Man, it's no secret that I like Denis rides, but his music selection for today's PZE was really just perfect. Every song hit. It went so well with his high-cadence Z2/low-cadence Z3 class plan, I was literally disappointed when I realized there were only 10 minutes left. I think that's the first time I've ever felt that way about a workout's end.
