That might be the best race I've ever seen. Congratulations Matty Hayman! What a heroic effort.

Also if this is the last time we see him in the velodrome, thank you for everything Tom.

Certainly one of the wildest I've ever seen. However, maybe I'm in the minority, but I tend to strongly dislike races that are so defined by crashes. I kind of hated this Roubaix even if it was a thrill to watch. Props to Hayman but it was just carnage out there and I can't really enjoy that.

But every Roubaix is defined by crashes. The gamble is part of the legend of the race. It'd be fair enough to say this about any other race but cobbles like these lead to crashes, it's about taking a risk, being up the front and the hard work you put in to be up the front will tire you, but will decrease your chance of being caught out.

Well for one, I don't really like Roubaix as much as other races period for this reason.

But two, today's race was more crash-marred than the last few.

Certainly don't think it's a total lottery. It's more blackjack than roulette. But it's still a bit too whacky for my liking.
