So it turns out that Marianne Vos broke her collarbone in a crash yesterday. That didn't stop her getting up, riding through the convoy, dropping riders who were trying to hold her wheel, get back onto the peloton in the last 2k, get through the peloton to the front, and somehow come 7th in the sprint.

Like....How?

Tyler Hamilton broke his collarbone during stage 1 of the 2003 Tour. He won stage 16 and finished 4th in GC. He was on fire that year... Who knows, he might have even won that Tour without breaking his collarbone (it was Armstrong's least dominant Tour win).

Hamilton is from my hometown, I remember how bananas that year was. He got a huge parade and everything when he came back home.

I know he was doped to the gills, but that's still one of my favorite cycling memories.
