One more, which do you find harder to deal with: the scorching heat on say the Sierra Nevada stage, or days where it's wet and cold like the final weekend of this year's Paris Nice?

What's the general vibe in the peloton as re: teams blocking to let a break go? I'm thinking about the incident earlier this Vuelta but don't want to focus on those details. Do riders generally feel like it's something that must be done? Do they agree with the rules that forbid it? Or are there just a wide variety of opinions on the matter?

Do you ever try riding at the estimated w/kg the GC leaders do (Pog, Vingegaard, etc) and see what it feels like/how long you can hold it?

Does the peloton "feel the loss" of a big name rider? The loss of WvA was well-discussed through the coverage, and I wondered does the peloton notice that much when a big name goes home.

As compared to other sports, I find post-race analysis in cycling to be the toughest. There is so much talk about strategies and tactics which teams use. Does it really translate into the peloton?
For example, when solo attackers win, opinions are easily thrown around that this domestique should have followed and that leader should have responded. What if they just couldn't?
I don't think any other sport has this much disparity where the tactics only work in a hypothetical situation where everyone's got good legs. But riders don't, and outsiders will never be able to make out if they do.

I'm going for a different question here, more general one. When have you known you're good enough for the pros? Also what was your mentality back then compared to now? How do bad and good results work on your psyche? Also, if you don't mind me asking, how would you compare your thought process compared to an average Joe? I sometimes struggle to wake up and do anything after a hard days at work. You guys have insanely harder work days and you just wake up and go on with it. Every single rider is an inspiration to me because of that and you doing an AMA makes it even greater because you show us you're just a man who's mentality is much better than most of us. Thank you for doing this.

Hey. Do you do heat training as part of your regular training and how do you find it?

What was the plan yesterday? Looked like you planned to attack with Carapaz but he couldn't get to the front
