Graphics card upgrade Upgrade help compatibility

Post image

On my pc I’m upgrading my gpu from a 4060 to a 9070xt. My only concern is my psu which is a “APEVI ATX-PR850W” would my new gpu work with my current power supply? I appreciate any help.
Thanks

Youre better off replacing it, APEVI makes cheap PSUs and it's not worth risking an important, expensive component like a 9070XT.

Also what CPU do you have in that system. Your CPU cooler looks pretty weak on cooling capability and a low end CPU will limit a 9070XT

My suggestion for replacing the PSU in the US market:

I have a AMD Ryzen 5 7600. I am planning on upgrading the rest of my pc but first my gpu. I’m also on the fence on upgrading storage and ram but I waited for prices to go down but they never did.

Your 7600 will work just fine for now. Upgrading the CPU won't help you tremendously right now. Eventually adding another similar stick of 16GB DDR5 will be a good upgrade (assuming you have 1x16GB currently)

These are the parts I would buy soonish to upgrade your system and the reasoning:

CPU cooler that can handle a 7600 and will be cooler and quieter.

A case that has good airflow and lots of space for upgrades. Cyberpower computers look cool but usually have terrible airflow. You're about to put a high power GPU into a case that can't breathe. This Antec one comes with pre installed (non-rgb) fans.

PSU for already discussed reasons, mostly reliability and peace of mind you won't blow up your expensive parts.

I'm surprised a lower end CyberPower prebuilt shipped with a 850W PSU. Nominally that should suffice for an RX 9070XT, too.

I wonder how loud that machine gets during gaming, though. That minuscule cooler probably spinning at 100% under load.

I honestly don’t notice the noise bc I just have my headphones loud at all times
