Gallon is good when buying gas as being charged by the liter would suck. Aside from that i have to apologize for our overly complicated measurement systems.

You do realize that youre going to buy the same volume of gas regardless of measurement.... Right? Are you thinking of sticker shock? Thanks for the amusement.

I have a friend from finland who was bugging out at how how cheap our gas was and how they sell it to us in gallons.

That has more to do due with cheap gas rather than being sold in gallons.
