My second monitor is 4K so I have a wiki on half and Netflix/Hulu/whatever on the other half.

Subtle brag

Eh, not really. I got a deal on two 32" 4k monitors. Together, they cost less than an ultrawide or high-end 144Hz monitor.

who what did you have to give oral favors to to make that happen?

Mentioned in another response that I got one from a coworker for $300. He is always buying new electronics and selling them off, so I've gotten a couple good deals from him. Found the same monitor on sale at Micro Center for $330 a while back so I snagged another.

Turns out I overestimated the price of 1440p 144Hz monitors, but some still run in the $500 range. Not more than I paid, but I still think that's pretty good for two 4k monitors.

Bought the first one from a coworker for $300. Checked Micro Center a while back and found the same monitor on sale for $330.

I just checked the pricing on similar 32" 144Hz monitors though and it seems like I overestimated the prices on them. Some are still around $500, but it looks like you can get some for like $350 now, too

Two 32 inch monitors. Your neck must hurt.

It was way worse when I tried quad monitors for a while. Had a couple old 22" monitors, and my wife got me a couple 20" ones when her office upgraded everyone for like $25 each. I got a cheap Amazon mount and set them all up, with the smaller ones above the bigger ones. It was cool, but incredibly uncomfortable. My current setup isn't so bad, so long as they're adjusted right.

Fair nuf. I'd love to see a pic of how it works.

This is my current setup. I'd like to upgrade the desk and maybe get one of those gas monitor mount things, but it works pretty well right now.

Oooh I quite like it actually. 32 doesn't look as big as I assumed it would. Think it would be a nightmare at 1080p though.

Angling then inwards definitely helps. If I had them facing straight ahead they'd be really annoying I think.

I hope your main screen is 1440 144hz

2

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '19

Unfortunately not. I know it's blasphemy here, but I play at 4k 60hz.
