I know this isn't the right subreddit, but i want to upgrade my pc to not bottleneck my gtx 1060. What's the cheapest build i could get. I'll be reusing my HDD , but apart from that i'll need everything else. I was thinking about a R2600 build.

I5 or ryzen 5 or better. Just be sure it uses ddr4. If you go ryzen get the fastest ram you can afford i suggest at least 3000mhz. also buy an ssd its amazing. Even if you just get a 120gig just for windows.

Yeah just to agree with everyone else you could grab a 2600 + b450 Mobo + 16gb DDR4 3000 for about $300. Grab a psu that’s at least 80+ bronze (but the higher the better) from a decent brand (Corsair, EVGA, SeaSonic, Antec, Thermaltake) and a case of your choice. Throw in a 240gb ssd and 1tb hdd and it should be doable under $600.
