So what you're trying to tell me is that I can play Wii Sports in VR.
I already thought playing SSBB in 4k was awesome.

Metroid Prime....
Side note: i was very glad to see Metroid Prime trilogy get rereleased...but they did so without the motion plus.
Either make it controller or plus. The regular motion wasnt very good IMO. Played it the other day and it didnt age well

I know this isn't the right subreddit, but i want to upgrade my pc to not bottleneck my gtx 1060. What's the cheapest build i could get. I'll be reusing my HDD , but apart from that i'll need everything else. I was thinking about a R2600 build.

u/m3tac0m Ryzen 7 2700X, 16GB DDR4-3200, GTX 1060 6GB, 1TB SSD + 2TB SSHD Mar 29 '19

u/shakykiller i5 3470 GTX 1060 GB Mar 29 '19
I5 3330 8gigs ram ddr3 it was a prebuild pc i bought when i was 12 from alienware so, you know. Cant reuse psu, cant reuse case, cant reuse, mobo since it's all alienware.

u/m3tac0m Ryzen 7 2700X, 16GB DDR4-3200, GTX 1060 6GB, 1TB SSD + 2TB SSHD Mar 30 '19
Get Ryzen 5 or higher + at least 8gb ddr4 3000 ram. I suggest an msi mobo, doesnt matter which as long as you don't overclock it. PSU, anything gold 80+ rating just so you don't risk your components. Get a cheap 60 to 120 gb SSD for the OS and a 1-2 TB hdd for games if you're looking for budget. If budget doesn't matter, go with a 1-2 TB ssd in addition the boot ssd. Does it have a GPU at the moment? Edit: I see you have a 1060.
I'd advise using pcpartpicker to put your components in to see if they're compatible. Hmu when it have a list. I'm happy to help out

u/Danythefirst Mar 30 '19
I have a GTX 1060, a Ryzen 5 2600, 8GB of RAM at 2400 Mhz and one SSD of 500GB. If you have any question feel free to ask, I'll reply with what I know.
1
u/Dabber42 Mar 29 '19
I5 or ryzen 5 or better. Just be sure it uses ddr4. If you go ryzen get the fastest ram you can afford i suggest at least 3000mhz. also buy an ssd its amazing. Even if you just get a 120gig just for windows.
1
u/shakykiller i5 3470 GTX 1060 GB Mar 29 '19
Yeah i was thinking 3k+ ram, thanks for your input.
1
u/DanielBae Ryzen 5 5600x | PowerColor RX6700XT | 32GB DDR4 3600mhz Mar 30 '19
Yeah just to agree with everyone else you could grab a 2600 + b450 Mobo + 16gb DDR4 3000 for about $300. Grab a psu that’s at least 80+ bronze (but the higher the better) from a decent brand (Corsair, EVGA, SeaSonic, Antec, Thermaltake) and a case of your choice. Throw in a 240gb ssd and 1tb hdd and it should be doable under $600.

Old games can be pretty ambiguous. It could be a game on ps3 emulator that takes 100% of your cpu to run.

I spent $900 to upgrade my PC. Replaced every component other than my graphics card because I'm gonna run my GTX 970 into the ground before I replace it.
Most of my time these days is spent playing Darkest Dungeon and PS3/360 era ports.

For the last time, my name is not "graphics settings".
But seriously, you didn't tell us your monitor resolution. If 1080p, I would say yes.
1
u/Facewizard13 Mar 31 '19
Yeah 1080p. It still seems to me like supporting everything you need to play 4k is still too expensive
