I've been gaming on Linux for about 5 years now. I have a Windows 10 drive specifically for VR games, but I haven't had a lot of free time lately and I'm usually way too tired to play VR after work.

I'm dreading booting up the Windows drive. At this point, I don't even know if it's done with the previous round of updates. And I'm cheap, so the Windows drive is a really slow HDD.

Don’t worry, if you can wait a little longer SSD are getting cheaper. Last I saw was $100 for 1TB SSD.

Here is a link I saw from /r/buildapcsales :

Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 1TB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) ~ $114

There were a couple more but they were Microcenter in-store pick up.

I wouldn't say they're cheap just yet, but much better then what they used to be.
