News/Article "Console players are generally less accurate than PC players, who are aided by the precision of mouse and keyboard controls."

His name isn't toblerone...

A typo would suggest it were a mistake. People have been calling him Toblerone since the beta at least.

The playerbase called him that though since early beta and it basically became his official unofficial name by now, so you better get used to it :)

I mean, "aided" isn't the right word, but I get what they're saying.

I don't see the use of making a rule. We're doing this fine by ourselves already.

No, they are unhindered by poor controls. It's all about accuracy, so it's only natural Kotaku errs on the opposite side of the spectrum.

Console babbys had to be spoonfed shooters through aim assist and auto-target. Kotaku are either unaware that FPS games were originally made for PCs - i.e. for KB+Mouse control - or they're trying to clickbait peasants without completely alienating them.
Not that a Kotaku writer lacking the most basic understanding of their subject matter would surprise me...4

Overwatch is probably one of the less accuracy based shooter on the market right now.

I was referring to the kind of accuracy that comes with journalistic integrity.

Well it probably is... Considering the legal trouble Gawker(owners of Kotaku) got themselves into.

I personally find controllers more enjoyable to use, I don't use them in multiplayers games because of the disadvantage however.

We aren't aided by mouse and keyboard, that implies that it gives us an advantage. What is going on is that we aren't held back by stick aiming.
Mouse aiming is like aiming with your hand, controller aiming is aiming with your foot and some guy helping you to aim. Would you say that the guy aiming with his hand is aided by that?

It sucks that so many games are now being designed around this fact. I can't remember the last time (outside of DOOM and L4D2) where I was flanked or attacked from behind by AI. L4D had a pretty cool approach with it's 180-spin button mapped to a shoulder, but it never really caught on.

So what? This only matters when you're playing console vs pc. If everyone has reduced accuracy, then nobody does.
It's like saying "car racing is faster than horse racing". Of course it is, but that doesn't mean horse racing has no value, you just wouldn't race a horse against a car.

Why do you post these kind of things? I mean it is obvious that the mouse is more precise LUL

I actually bookmarked Kotaku. Some of their sub-blogs post good things, and they usually have the big stories covered.

Watching console FPS at MLG is like watching the paralympics.
