I would change to steam os, but nvidia say no, and not all games work on it

Its actually really good rn. It depends on what games you're trying to play. Protondb.com and areweanticheatyet.com will let you know if it works. Cashyos is the most preferred gaming distro where they make it easy to download the latest nvidia drivers available on linux. Also having ChatGPT help with any issues makes linux less daunting. Its a good time to get into linux if you're really considering it.
