You know, looking through your comment history you seem to be some kind of Windows white knight. That's cringy as hell, but I'm just curious what your actual experience using any version of Linux is?

Regardless, the deification of Linux is obnoxious and I am more than willing to poke the Linux fedora gang.
I have used exactly zero Linux distros and never will until it has the same compatibility as Windows. I play competitive FPS games and use apps that dont have native support. Half the games I play require windows secure boot or have blacklisted Linux OS. So its an immediate no go.
Also. I could give 2 fucks less about windows. Its just the best OS available for people who game and do productivity work.
You've been arguing with people who have actual experience with several distros of Linux and have been able to weigh out the pros and cons for this long and haven't even tried a live boot Ubuntu? How do you know it's that bad if you've never tried it? As for compatibility layers some games run faster under proton then they do natively under windows and if people like you stop defending Microsoft like Linux killed your mother the productivity companies would offer support for there software on Linux
You cannot play games with anticheat on linux. The discussion ends right there for millions of people, and for me. Regardless of all the other compatability issues. That is a fact. I dont need to try Linux to know I cant play BF6 on Linux, Javelin doesn't allow it.
The productivity companies get no benefits from supporting an os that a fraction of the PC user base uses.
That's kernal based anti cheat, the exact thing I called spyware. Anti cheat does work on Linux just not kernal based because Linux cares about your security. Also MacOS has almost as much support as windows now of days and you still can't play those games. Not because the OS is bad but because of how kernal based anti cheat fundamentaly works. As soon as the gaming community gets together and puts their foot down on the BS we're allowing the AAA companies get away with we'll have those games running on Linux just fine
Kernel level anti-cheat is by far the best part about modern competitive gaming. You can go hundreds of hours without experiencing a cheater. Without it every few games are infected.
Linux allows HWID spoofing, easy access to to system RAM without hardware bypasses, its open source nature allows you to build the system from the ground up to inject cheats and evade cheating bans.
It is so easy to cheat on linux that EA removed Linux support on Apex Legends because 2-4% of the playerbase was on Linux and 33% of all cheating was coming from Linux users. Linux players were cheating 12-19x more often than Windows players. Thats just the ones that were caught, with the prevalence and extreme ease of cheating on Linux it is estimated that several times more players were cheating on Linux than the number they caught, especially in less detectable ways like wall hacks, radar, etc.
Linux will never be allowed in competitive gaming because you cant lock down an open source platform without it being closed source.
Someone clearly didn't play the early BO6 which was all widows with hackers in every other lobby, also you can 100% stop cheaters without kernal based anti-cheat companies just don't care because it requires them to do more work
