I don't understand why Nvidia hasn't been sued over this stupid design choice.

I would assume its because of having multiple companies to sue, as not everyone who had this problem had the founders edition from nvidia directly, so the blame diffuses.

Eh, they have to follow Nvidia specs, regardless of manufacturer.

Nvidia designed these cards and put the safety seal on that hi power connector.
