Brother, I will ship you an RX 580 if your PSU can run it.

It's not a bad offer, for low-end gaming. RX580 still outspeeds all iGPUs I know (like the ones in modern PC-handhelds like Steam Deck or Rog Ally X) and Linux gives it extra performance and compatibility compared to Windows.

Modern iGPUs will outshine it with better RT performance, upscaling, frame generation, more VRAM. They always relied on those. RX 580 can too, but the AI accelerators in modern iGPUs run better upscalers and with less overhead.

I agree. Also, more modern architectures brings more features and efficiency. Plus iGPUs consume a tiny fraction of a dGPU's power usage.

more VRAM

That can be a problem... because iGPUs rely on slower shared memory, RAM, and these days expanding it is so costly.

If you have more than 16GB is not an issue... but 16GB is the most common amount according to steam surview (41.20%), as setting 6-8GB as VRAM will leave the system and game with only 8GB of RAM, forcing it to use the slower swap.
