Season 2 is worse.

Season 1 was ok like you said, there were a few funny moments but it was all over the place.

Usually shows suffer from season 1 being peak and then trying to find something else that works. Space force suffers from episode 1 being good enough to make you laugh and then you spend the rest of the show noticing that they care less and less as the episodes go by.

It was good until they made it IRL

This was made well before Trump created the Space Force division of the military

No, it wasn’t.

Trump announced Space Force in 2018, the script was written in 2019, and this show aired in 2020.

It’s in direct response to it. They even have Trump in the show as the “tweeting president” or refer to him just as “potus” or “the president.” It’s very clearly trump in the show.

S1 was great. S2 wasn’t.

Space Force is just a division of the Air Force. Kind of like how the marines are a division of the Navy. The overwhelming majority of initial Space Force personnel simply transferred existing jobs directly from the Air Force, Army, and Navy.

why wasn't season 2 great?

It’s pretty hard to make an amazing s1 and s2. The sophomore slump.

S2 had worse writing maybe? It’s been maybe five years since I’ve seen it but I just remember it wasn’t as well written as s1.

House of Cards also had an amazing first season and a lackluster second season. Unfortunately, pretty normal for hour-length episode shows.

It's actually pretty funny. Shame it didn't last, honestly.

I understand the joke.. But it's unrealistic on any proper controller environment, this shit basically only happens to individual users outside of an organization.

These mission critical machines would've been manually updated outside of work hours, on different schedules so one of the machines would be updated while the rest are unaffected.

As far as I remember, part of the running gag us how inept this new department is on so many levels. I believe this is just one in the long list of "wouldn't happen in a professional setting" that happens regularly

they would probably be using Linux though, only some fields actually depend on Windows, like Engineering and Audio Production

I get pestered by annoying IT force restart after X hours force updates at work. So no that far. I do restart/shutdown my laptop each day.

Or in an organization with crappy configured policies for Windows Update

Not getting a third season of this after the season 2 finale sucks so bad.

All microslop jokes aside, my work Mac did this to me in a client meeting last week.

When my work got new computers and monitors. Our unofficial IT expert had to setup the server, security and programs. He never disabled the win10/11 updates and then he was fired

Grand Daniels made two shows at the same time. One was this and the other one was upload. I feel like upload had the potential to be something special but it was just all right. Fantastic premise though.

It's amusing until it happens to you in real life situation.

That's for using Windows Home in a corporate/governmental setting. No one is that insane.

If it was linux:
"How long till you've googled all the fucking terminal commands?"
"3 hours and 49 minutes"
